We'd like to thank Kilmarnock for the very kind and beneficial donation of paint and brushes for our project to repaint our Party Hut.

It has made a massive difference; both visually and in preserving the structure. We could really tell the difference in the quality of the paint, and the colour choice by Dulux was spot on!

Thanks also to our volunteers and staff who made did the hard work in preparing and painting the hut; Eilidh, Ruby, Paul, Jim, and Scott.

If you have a few hours spare to do volunteering like this, and want to get involved, get in touch at [email protected]

Are your skis gathering dust?

Why not brush them off - and maybe get your legs back into the swing of it too?

Recreational sessions (lift pass + rental equipment) are available all year round, and we continue to offer them as 1 or 2hr sessions. They are also available as multi packs - with bigger discounts the more you buy.

We offer these on the main slope, and all users must be recreational standard; able to control their speed and direction, and use the Poma (drag lift) without assistance required.

Wanting your gear serviced? We continue to offer waxing and edging for £25, with basic repairs also possible. Pop us an email to [email protected] to arrange this.

We're a bit of an anomaly - a wee ski centre tucked away behind the village of Newmilns in Ayrshire.

We first came to life as a council centre in 1975; part of a grand scheme to have ski centres across the region that started and ended with us.

About 20 years ago, the council deemed the centre unviable and closed it. A group of concerned locals got together and rescued the venue, completely revamping the site and launching us as an independent small charity.

We remain that same charity - we are a small team of 1 full time staff member and about 10 flexible working team members; what the council calls a mico enterprise.

We have a volunteer board of directors, who make strategic decisions, physically help on site and govern the charity. We still rely on volunteer help to make the site as vibrant as it can be.

We rebranded as 'Peak Park' last year, but continue to be the same snowsports centre you know and (hopefully) love.

Ladies night started back last week, and now runs weekly again.

Intermediate sessions are on Monday nights, 7:30-8:30pm, and can be booked as individual sessions, or a multi pack of 5, which saves you 10%.

We keep the sessions relaxed and informal, and they are open to any girls or ladies age 7+ who have been signed off as recreational standard (can ride from the top of the main slope in control of speed and direction, and use a drag lift without assistance).

We'll shortly return to our regular summer programming, featuring the return of the Valley Ski Project.

The concept behind this project is to make snowsports as affordable as possible to people who live in our catchment area. It runs throughout the year in 5 week blocks, and currently only £49. That includes the equipment, the lift pass and a 1hr lesson each week.

The beginner session is 4-5pm: https://fareharbor.com/embeds/book/newmilnssnowandsportscomplex/items/425542/availability/2126660085/book/?full-items=yes

The intermediate session is 5:15-6:15: https://fareharbor.com/embeds/book/newmilnssnowandsportscomplex/items/425543/availability/2126660093/book/?full-items=yes

Congratulations to the Galston Community Development Trust on receiving the most votes in the Galston stronger starts funding round.

We came very close to the top spot ourselves, and thank you to everyone who voted for us!

We'll be making an order of children's equipment with this funding, so we can be better stocked - especially in the 2-5 size range of ski boots.
