🌞 A Little End of Year Message 🌞

Apologies for this being a little late!

We just wanted to say a huge congratulations to all of our wonderful children who graduated this year and are moving on to big school in September. 🎓 We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of you!

We’ve had such an amazing year filled with laughter, learning, friendships and so many wonderful memories. Watching the children grow in confidence and develop into happy, curious learners has been an absolute privilege. Although we’re sad to see them leave, we know they’re ready for their next big adventure, and we wish them every success and happiness as they start school.

To all of our children returning to us in September, we can’t wait to welcome you back for another exciting year of fun and learning together!

I also want to give a massive shout out to my incredible team. ❤️ You are all absolutely amazing, and I couldn’t do this without you. It’s been a challenging year at times, but you’ve all worked so hard, supported one another, and given the children the very best every single day. I am so proud of every one of you—thank you for everything you do.

Finally, thank you to all of our wonderful parents and carers for your continued support throughout the year. Working together helps make our preschool such a special place, and we truly appreciate every one of you.

Dear Parents/Carers,

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our last day at Pre-School before we break up for the summer holidays.

Please note that Friday is for our Graduation Ceremony only and will take place from 10:00am to 11:30am. Parents and carers will need to bring their children to Pre-School at 10:00am for the ceremony.

We will then close for the summer holidays and look forward to welcoming everyone back on Thursday, 3rd September.

🌟 A huge thank you to our wonderful work experience student, Tekesha! 🌟

It has been an absolute pleasure having Tekesha with us at Pre-School last week. She has been amazing from start to finish – always polite, enthusiastic, and fantastic with her timekeeping.

Tekesha has been a lovely addition to our team, helping the children with snack times, joining in with activities, and even setting up and leading her own activities for the children to enjoy. She has shown such kindness, confidence, and dedication throughout her week with us.

The children and staff have really enjoyed having her here, and we are so proud of everything she has achieved during her time with us.

🌟 A Huge Thank You to Darcy Cook! 🌟

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to Darcy Cook, who joined us at All Saints Under Fives Pre-School for her work experience from Newmarket Academy.

Throughout her time with us, Darcy showed kindness, enthusiasm, and a willingness to get involved in every aspect of pre-school life. She supported the children in their learning and play, helped our team with daily activities, and gained valuable insight into what we do to provide a fun, safe, and nurturing environment for our little learners.

It has been a pleasure having Darcy with us, and we hope she has enjoyed her time as much as we have enjoyed having her. We wish her every success in her future studies and career—we’re sure she’ll do brilliantly!

Dear Parents and Carers,

With the very warm weather forecast to continue over the coming days, we would like to remind everyone of a few important things to help keep the children comfortable and safe while at preschool.

As we are unable to refrigerate lunch boxes, please feel free to include an ice pack in your child’s lunch box to help keep food cool and fresh throughout the day.

Please also ensure that:

• Sun cream is applied before your child arrives at preschool.
• Your child brings a named water bottle every day.
• Your child has a named sun hat with them.
• Children wear loose, lightweight clothing suitable for the hot weather.

We will continue to encourage regular drinks, provide shade where possible, and take extra care to keep everyone comfortable during the heat.

We understand that some families may have concerns about the high temperatures. If you would prefer to keep your child at home during this period, we completely understand. Please just let us know by contacting the preschool.

🌞 Hot Weather Reminder for Families 🌞

With the very hot weather forecast over the next few days, we wanted to send a gentle reminder to all families. Temperatures are expected to reach around 33°C tomorrow and could rise to 35°C on Wednesday, so we are taking every precaution possible to keep the children safe, comfortable, and cool.

Please ensure your child:

💧 Brings a named water bottle every day
🧢 Wears a sun hat
🧴 Has sun cream applied before arriving at the setting (we will reapply throughout the day as needed)
👕 Is dressed in light, appropriate clothing for the hot weather
👚 Brings a full change of clothes

We will be providing plenty of water play opportunities to help keep the children cool. However, we are currently running very low on spare clothing and unfortunately do not have enough for everyone, so it is essential that each child has their own spare clothes with them.

At the setting, we are doing everything we can to manage the heat:
🌬️ Windows and doors are open to encourage airflow
🌀 Fans are running indoors
⛱️ Gazebos and shaded play areas are set up outside
🌳 Children will have access to sheltered areas away from direct sunlight

Please be aware that the setting itself can become very warm during periods of extreme heat. We completely understand if you choose to keep your child at home during this hot weather. If you do decide to do so, we would appreciate it if you could let us know as soon as possible.
