Want to advance your career as a seafarer?

We are holding MCA Approved Engine Course Part 2 (AEC2) at our new workshop in Newlyn on the next Spring Tide.
The AEC 2 course is suitable to gain knowledge of engineering on small vessels, from Crew Transfer Vessels and tug boats, private yachts or small yachts. It's a mix of hands-on practical learning and theory tuition.
Note: Candidates for AEC2 must have already hold AEC1 or an equivalent.

UPCOMING HEALTH & WELLBEING 🐟
Next Monday (28th) and Tuesday (29th) are Fishermen's Health, Wellbeing and Support Days at The Lizard.
There will be a number of service providers attending including, Fishermen's Mission Smile Together Dental Van, Seafit, and many more!
This is a great chance for both ACTIVE and RETIRED Fishermen to receive potential life - saving health checkups and speak to professionals.

Good news for professional seafarers in Cornwall!
We have achieved the prestigious status as a recognised training provider for courses eligible for grant from the Nautilus Slater Memorial Fund.
The fund provides training grants for seafarers costs towards their first Certificate of Competence. Fishermen can receive scholarship support for their first CoC at Class 2 or Class 1 Fishing or to convert to OOW unlimited.
Courses at SCT will be held winter 26/27 at the new centre in Newlyn Cornwall including: GMDSS GOC, Proficiency in Medical Care, HELM (o), and, Medical First Aid.

Seafish is currently able to fund the tuition fees for these courses for experienced fishermen, providing they hold certificates in Sea Survival, First Aid, Fire Fighting and Safety Awareness.
