🎃📚 OUR FEATURE BOOK – PUMPKIN SOUP! 📚🎃

Our feature book this week is the wonderful Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper 🥣🍂

This beautiful autumn story follows Cat, Squirrel and Duck, three friends who live together and make the most delicious pumpkin soup… until one day, Duck decides he wants to do things a little differently! 🐱🐿️🦆

It’s a fantastic story for exploring so many important areas of learning, including:

🎃 Friendship and working together
🥄 Sharing, turn-taking and cooperation
💬 Talking about feelings and disagreements
📖 Developing vocabulary and storytelling skills
🔢 Counting, measuring and sequencing
🍂 Exploring autumn, pumpkins and seasonal changes

Throughout the week, we’ll be bringing the story to life through lots of lovely EYFS activities and experiences, giving the children opportunities to explore the story through play, creativity, sensory experiences and conversation.

Due to our increasing numbers at our new setting we are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and nurturing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting young children’s development and creating a positive, engaging learning environment.

• Provide high-quality care and education for children in line with the EYFS framework
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support learning and development

• Ensure a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment at all times
• Observe, assess, and record children’s progress

One of our Biggest hits with our babies has been our Millhouse indoor exploration frame 😀

Our beautiful wooden climbing and exploration unit has already sparked lots of curiosity and excitement. Designed specifically for young children, it provides endless opportunities for learning through play.

As babies climb, crawl and explore, they are developing:
