7 days to go…

As we reach the end of a fantastic academic year, we would like to say a huge thank you to our incredible staff, students and parents.

Together, we have achieved so much:

⭐ We have successfully retained our Flagship School for Inclusion status.
⭐ Achieved an outstanding 92% rewards to consequence ratio, reflecting the positive culture across our school.
⭐ We are delighted to be welcoming a full Year 7 cohort next year.
⭐ Disruption to lessons has reduced by over 80%, creating an even better environment for learning and success.
⭐ Year 11s set to achieve a fantastic set of GCSEs
⭐ Over 50 reward trips and visits, offering opportunities for all

These achievements are only possible because of the dedication of our staff, the hard work of our students, and the unwavering support of our families.
We are incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together and excited about what lies ahead.

We would also like to send our very best wishes to Sue O'Callaghan, our wonderful Learning Resources Manager and Librarian, who retires this summer after an incredible 18 years of service to Mercia Academy and William Allitt. Sue has inspired generations of students through her passion for reading, learning and literacy, and has been a valued member of our school community. We thank Sue for everything she has contributed over the years and wish her a long, happy and well-deserved retirement.

📚 One final reminder before Mrs O’Callaghan heads off into retirement: if you've still got a library book at home, now would be the perfect time to return it... preferably before Mrs O’Callaghan has to come back from retirement to find it! 📚

Y7 PGL Update 🤝

The coach has left Boreatton Park and we are now on the way back to school. The ETA is 5:00pm. Please can parents/carers be prepared to collect the children for then. See you soon 👋

PGL Day 3 🥳

Abseiling this morning! A big shout out to the students who didn’t want to face the heights but then gave it a go and loved it, great resilience and bravery shown! A few challenging for the role of the next James Bond 😎

Followed by some fencing 🤺 Really getting a taste of everything!
