🌞🌙SOMETHING SPECIAL IS HAPPENING IN THE SKY! 🌙🌞
Today, 12th August 2026 at approximately 19:07 Newcastle-upon-Tyne, will treated to a very special solar eclipse! 🌎🌙☀️
A solar eclipse happens when the Moon moves between the Earth and the Sun, creating an amazing shadow across parts of our planet. 🌙✨
Here in the UK, we’ll see a partial eclipse, while some parts of the world will experience the incredible sight of totality! 😮🌎
👀 It’s a brilliant opportunity to talk to our little ones about:
🌙 The Moon
☀️ The Sun
🌎 Our amazing planet
🔭 Space, shadows and the night sky!
PLEASE REMEMBER: Never look directly at the Sun, even during an eclipse, as it can seriously damage your eyes. 👀☀️

🌟 Is your child starting at St Gabriel’s Nursery Heaton soon? Here’s Some Reassurance for Our Parents… 🌟
Starting nursery is a big milestone for both your child and your family. It’s perfectly normal for those first few days to feel exciting, emotional and even a little daunting. ❤️
🌈 A few gentle tips to help with settling in:
💜Keep goodbyes calm, loving and consistent – a confident goodbye helps your child understand that you’ll be back.
⏰Stick to familiar routines where possible – keeping things predictable can help your child feel secure.
🤝Trust the process – many children settle quickly once they become involved in play and begin exploring their new surroundings
💬 Stay in touch with your child’s key person – through Parent Zone, email, phone or simply a chat at the door. Communication is really important to us.
Every child settles in their own way, and that’s absolutely okay. Our experienced team will work patiently at your child’s pace, building secure and trusting relationships so they feel safe, happy and confident in their new environment. 💕
And remember…
We’re here to support you and your child every step of the way. 🌈
