➡️ Mitochondrial matrix
🟠 What goes in?
➡️ Acetyl-CoA
🟠 What comes out?
➡️ CO₂
➡️ NADH
➡️ FADH₂
➡️ ATP (small amount!)
🟠 Why is it important?
➡️ It loads NADH & FADH₂ with electrons for the electron transport chain — where most of the ATP is made! ⚡
