🏊♀️ Congratulations to our Junior School swimmers who travelled to London to compete at the IAPS National Swimming Finals 2026 on Saturday.
Held at the London Aquatics Centre in Stratford – the same pool where swimming legend Michael Phelps added to his medal haul at the London 2012 Olympic Games – our pupils competed against some of the best young swimmers in the country.
👏 William (Year 5) finished an outstanding 6th nationally in Butterfly.
👏 Felicity (Year 5) finished 15th in Backstroke.
👏 Jemima (Year 4) finished 18th in Backstroke.
With more than 5,000 swimmers competing in qualifying events across the country, reaching the national finals is an incredible achievement in itself, and we are immensely proud of our swimmers. Well done!

👑 Congratulations to the 43 Dame Allan’s pupils who were invited to Buckingham Palace to celebrate achieving their Gold in The Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
Gold DofE represents years of commitment, resilience and determination, with participants completing volunteering, physical, skills, expedition and residential challenges alongside their studies.
Joining thousands of young people from across the UK in the gardens of Buckingham Palace, our pupils celebrated an achievement that reflects not only personal ambition but a willingness to step outside their comfort zone and give back to their North East communities.

🏈 National finals, here we come!
A huge congratulations to our Dame Allan’s Junior School flag football team, who have been crowned North East Regional Champions and will now compete in the NFL UK National Flag Football Finals in Manchester on 17 June.
Competing as the Dame Allan’s Chiefs, our mixed squad impressed throughout three qualifying tournaments to earn its place among the best school teams in the country.
Flag football – the non-contact version of American football and an official sport at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games – was only introduced at Dame Allan’s last year. Now our pupils are preparing to compete for a national title and a potential opportunity to progress to an international competition in the USA!

Dame Allan’s ‘Chiefs’ charge ahead to national flag football finals - Dame Allan's Pupils at Dame Allan’s Junior School are heading to the national flag football finals in Manchester after being crowned North East champions.

A proud day for Dame Allan’s Royal Marines Cadet Force as they underwent their biennial inspection by Lieutenant Colonel Gary Giles, Chief of Staff Scotland and Northern Ireland.
As part of the visit, Lt Col Giles inspected the troop, observed cadet-led lessons and spoke with cadets about their experiences in the contingent.
The day also included a special presentation for Year 13 pupil Milo B, who was awarded a gold watch in recognition of his five years of service to the CCF. During his time in the contingent, Milo rose to the rank of Warrant Officer and made a significant contribution to cadet life at Dame Allan’s.
Congratulations to Milo and all of our cadets.
