I never really talk about my opinion on technology 🤣 thats a lie.....im very vocal about it, but you all know I feel quite strongly about as we know it can be damaging, especially for young minds 🥲

In all honesty, we think this is such a positive step forward when it comes to protecting children online, supporting their mental health, and prioritising their safety. It simply comes down to the fact that no child should grow up believing their worth is measured by how many likes, views, or comments their post receives 🙌❤️

Of course, this doesn’t just apply to children – adults can feel the pressures of social media too – but childhood is so precious, and in our eyes, more should be done to preserve it. Children deserve the freedom to be children without the constant need for validation from the online world.

We are absolutely overwhelmed to have been nominated for Nursery of the Year.

For us, this has never just been about being a nursery.

It has always been about being part of a community, supporting families, and showing up for people when they need it most. ❤️

At The Family Tree Nursery, we pride ourselves on going above and beyond every single day. Not because we have to… but because we genuinely care.

Over the years we have:
✨ Raised money for a life-saving defibrillator that has gone on to save lives
✨ Funded a cuddle cot for sleeping babies and grieving families
✨ Raised over £1400 for MND
✨ Created a food bank within nursery for struggling families
✨ Raised money for Cancer Research
✨ Had staff running the streets during COVID dressed as Mario & Luigi just to keep spirits high and our community smiling
✨️ We remained open during covid despite the risks, while others bolted their doors
✨ Donated to homeless charities and respite centres
✨ Helped organise a wedding for a parent with terminal cancer
✨ Hosted an 80th birthday party for a neighbour so they could feel celebrated and loved

These moments are what make us different.
These are the things that make us more than a nursery.

These are the reasons we are proud to be an asset to our community.

One parent once said:

And honestly… that is worth more to us than any award ever could. ❤️

Today I just want to say how unbelievably proud I am of the DoubleDose girls Jess and Shannon. ❤️

With the amazing support from Scentaholic and Lola’s Creations, they pulled together something truly special in aid of MND — and what a success it turned out to be.

Both The Family Tree Nursery and Treehouse were honoured to support such an incredible event, and honestly… the community absolutely blew us away.

The support, generosity, kindness and effort from everyone involved was nothing short of stunning. You all really pulled it out of the bag. 👏❤️

Jess has raised an incredible £1454.83 for MND, and I know without a doubt her grandma will be looking down with immense pride — just as proud as I am.

What started as an event became something far bigger… a reminder of what people can achieve when a community comes together for a cause that truly matters.

Thank you to every single person who supported, donated, shared, attended or helped in any way.

You should all be proud of yourselves. ❤️

We’re incredibly proud to be joining forces with 5 amazing local businesses for a special fundraising fun day in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, held in loving memory of Thelma Storey.

There’ll be laughter, games, food, fun, and hopefully a huge show of support from our local community.

Every penny raised will help support those affected by MND and honour the memory of a truly special lady who meant so much to so many.

In a world where people are often too busy to support one another, today is a chance to prove that community spirit is still alive and well 💙
