We are building satellites! The department of Mathematics, Physics and Electrical Engineering are really advancing optical communications in space with the design and development of flight ready hardware. This project led by Prof Eamon Scullion is a fantastic example of interdisciplinary work across the department. Next year I would love see the inspiration from this work in our student body - calling all those Astrophysicists / Physicists and Electrical engineers who wants to get involved?
