Today, we all came together to celebrate Hannah's birthday, and what a celebration it was!๐ฅณ

Every big idea starts somewhere. Ours start with you.๐ก
For over 10 years, E3Design has worked alongside Dr Stefan Przyborski at Durham University - our latest collaboration involved developing precision-engineered scaffolding inserts that support 3D human tissue models now used in drug development and product testing across the world. What began as a hypothesis became a real, industry-changing solution.๐ฌ
And that's exactly the kind of journey we love to be apart of.
Whether you're a university with an innovative concept ready to test, or a small business with a bold idea that needs the right engineering behind it - E3Designs offers the flexible, tailored design support to help you move from theory to reality.
We don't just work with the big players. Some of our most exciting projects have come from individuals and small teams with unique, ambitious ideas and the drive to prove them. We bring the expertise, the industry connections, and the passion - you bring the vision.๐
With 20+ years of experience and 650+ projects across medical, scientific and creative fields, we know how to take complex challenges and turn them into precision-engineered solutions.

Next week, E3Design will be attending Smart Manufacturing Week 2026 - a festival celebrating the best in UK manufacturing and engineering excellence and innovation! ๐ญ
We're looking forward to discovering fresh insights, exploring innovative solutions, and making valuable connections for our manufacturing and engineering projects. As always, it'll be great to catch up with familiar faces and soak up everything the week has to offer.
See you there! ๐

๐โโ๏ธ What an experience to remember!
The E3Design team laced up and hit the track alongside the incredible Year 2s at Mountfield Primary for their Sponsored School Run - and what an atmosphere!
We came armed with personalised participation medals ๐ฅ, water, and fruit ๐ to keep those little legs going, but honestly? The kids gave US the energy boost, expertly ran by Mrs Parker keeping everyone motivated!
Beyond the fun, it was a brilliant chance to support children's well-being and give something back to our local community - two things that matter massively to us at E3Design.
With a few of us gearing up for the Great North Run 2026, this was the perfect warm-up! ๐ช
Thank you Mountfield Primary for having us! ๐

๐Great North Run 2026 | Teams Update๐
We are so proud of our Managing Director, Marc Moore-Holliday, who has been training hard, keeping everyone motivated and excited for The Great North Run 2026 - really appreciated Marc! ๐
Marc is running for the Mental Health Foundation, dedicated on improving mental health through prevention, research, community programs, and advocacy. It aims to help people understand, protect, and sustain their mental health while addressing stigma and promoting policy changes to improve well-being.
Well done Marc, we're all cheering you on! ๐

At our studio, design is always at its best when it solves a real human problem. Recently, one of our team members who also works as a counsellor for a local mental health charity identified a need for fidget toys in the counselling room.
So, we put our printers to work.
We designed and 3Dโprinted a set of spinner rings and tactile cones, each shaped and textured to support grounding, focus and emotional regulation. Theyโre small objects, but they can make a big difference for clients who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or restless while talking through difficult experiences.
Mental health is shaped not only by emotional wellbeing, but also by physical health.
Weโre developing rehabilitation tools designed to help patients with mobility challenges regain confidence through simulated real-world scenarios. By making therapy more engaging and directly transferable to everyday life, these tools aim to improve recovery outcomes and help patients return more quickly to the activities, hobbies, and daily tasks that matter most to them. Supporting independence has a powerful impact on mental wellbeing, reinforcing the importance of rehabilitation that treats the whole person โ not just the injury.

Design has a powerful role to play in improving mental health, not just through products, but through experiences that genuinely change how people feel, cope and recover. Across the North East, weโre seeing incredible innovation that blends creativity, psychology and technology to support those facing mental health challenges.
One standout example is Therapeutics in Gateshead, who are pioneering the use of immersive digital environments to support therapy. Their approach uses controlled, personalised virtual reality scenarios to help individuals gradually overcome anxiety related conditions. Itโs a brilliant demonstration of how thoughtful design and emerging technologies can create safer, more effective therapeutic experiences.
At E3Design, we believe innovation should always serve people first. Whether itโs designing accessible products, improving user experiences, or championing wellbeing in the workplace, the future of design lies in solutions that support both physical and mental health.
Human centred design isnโt just good practice, itโs a pathway to better lives.
