Heaton Fiddle Fiddle group based in Heaton, Newcastle. Heaton Fiddle is led by Kay Stott, an experienced fiddle player and music educator. Kay is also DBS cleared.

Qualified with a PGCE, Kay has 15 years experience of teaching fiddle and music in education and community settings. Experience includes:
- private fiddle/violin tutor for adults and children since 2010
- Head of Music at West Newcastle Academy
- Fiddle Tutor for adult programme & Programme Leader for Early
Years and Family Music-Making at The Glasshouse International
Centre for Music (Sage

Gateshead)
- Primary Music Teacher for Music Partnership North (Newcastle
Music Service)
- Folk Music Project Leader for displaced Burmese young people in
Mae La Refugee Camp, Thailand
- Project Leader for refugee & asylum seeker family music-making
programme
- Project Leader for music-making with looked after children and
their families
- Newcastle Kingsmen - Clog dancer and fiddle player.
