Great session today with she's training really hard and smashing new pb's!!! Liv originally came to me for mental wellbeing over physical wellbeing, since training with me Liv has suffered a lot less from mental health and as a secondary impact has lost weight. Our main focus of the training is to laugh and talk whilst training, every time Liv leaves the sessions she has smiled a lot and leaves happier than when she arrived. Remember not all training needs to be for physical wellbeing, there is also social and mental wellbeing to look at also.

Great testimonial from Carl, he was a legend to work with and always pushed hard each session. He had a weight target to hit after 3 months of training and managed 8pounds past the target in that time frame. Carl still trains now and sends me updates on his sessions!! Gym goer for life.

A brilliant review from who also designed my logo and helps with all posters I get made up!! James was a brilliant client always turned up early, trained hard and kept his diet in check!!! James was buzzing with the progress he made with gaining strength but also managed to gain a decent amount of size during our training.

Richard has been suffering from sciatica issues in the past and contacted me about 4 weeks ago wanting personal training to see if it would help. He has been training twice a week and done really well!! Recently he went to see his physio who is very pleased with his progress which is and will be slow, steady and consistent but still good progress. We focus a lot on glute exercises as I highlighted this is a weak area for Richard and it contributes to his sciatica pain. Focusing really hard on technique is always important and we spent a considerable amount of time on deadlifts (conventional and RDL's) and now Richard is in a much better place with his back and is making great strides in the gym.

Me and have been focusing a lot on single arm/leg exercises recently as his martial arts have been improving with his strength. The benefits of single arm and leg exercises are it allows for:
Correction of imbalances
Core stabilisation
Decreased risk of injury
Improved muscular growth
Improved strength
Increase speed of injury recovery

The single arm exercises also applies to a separate weight in each hand for example dumbbell workouts.

That is a geat review from one of my clients Elda, she works long hours as a doctor and had very little motivation to come to the gym after a long day. I worked with Elda for around 3months to build her confidence in the gym and set here ACHIEVABLE targets. Now she goes 3 times per week on her own and rarely misses a session!!! The sessions completely changed her life around and also pushed her husband to train with her.

This is a quick video of tom on the landmine doing landmine rows. He's just finished his 6 week cycle of 5x5 which is a complete strength building style of training but only uses compound movements. Now we are looking at continuing the strength building but focusing a lot more on isolation movements with some compound. Tom really loves his training and always makes sure to message on days he trains alone if he needs advice or to know what weights he should be lifting.

The landmine row allows for a better range of movement but also pushes the lats, traps, biceps and shoulders whilst improving grip strength.

Me and have been and will continue to work really hard on his ankle and core strength. The bosu ball is a great way to work on balance/leg strenght/core/stability but as the front foot is elivated you can also work on depth. Alot of people in the gym struggle with getting the full range of motion, slightly raising the front foot will aid this problem, to make it easier you can use a stable object like a 25kg plate and focus on getting your rear knee close to the ground.

Lunges increase muscle mass to help build the core, quads, hamstrings and glutes. Using the bosu ball for lunges hits all the above muscles but also works the smaller balance muscles and adds more pressure on the core ankles and knees, whilst adding abit of fun to your workout. When using the bosu ball you can put you front or rear foot on it when lunging so try out both and see which aids you the most.
