With an impressive mix of subjects including Maths, Further Maths, the three separate Sciences, Computer Science and iMedia, Lisa has combined academic ambition with hard work and determination to achieve exceptional results.
But for Lisa, success is about more than grades, “I feel like we have a really good support system here. If you're struggling, you don't feel afraid to talk to teachers about it."
From finding confidence in the classroom to building lasting friendships, Lisa has embraced every opportunity at Westfield and is now looking forward to continuing her studies at Sixth Form.
We believe in you, Lisa! We can’t wait to help you achieve your dream of becoming an engineer. ⚙️✨

“If I could describe Westfield in three words, they would be: welcoming, supportive and empowering.” 🩷
Joining a new school partway through her GCSE studies could have been a major setback, but for Charlotte, it proved pivotal.
After struggling to find her place in a much larger school, Charlotte found the support, encouragement and sense of belonging she was looking for at Westfield when she joined in Year 10. The result? An impressive ten GCSEs and a bright future ahead at Westfield Sixth Form.
"I joined from a big school where I didn't work well. I then moved to Westfield and felt much better with learning."
"I noticed a big difference immediately at Westfield. I got much more support from the teachers, made friends and found my love for reading and art."
Now preparing to study English Language, Medical Science and Art at A Level, Charlotte's story is a wonderful reminder of the difference the right environment can make.
Well done, Charlotte! We are excited to be part of your next chapter. 📖

“I am not just saying this when I say Westfield changed my life.”
From a nervous pupil who dreaded coming to school to celebrating nine GCSEs (all grades 5-7), Alex’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. 🩷
When Alex joined Westfield in Year 4, she had had a difficult start to education and struggled to imagine enjoying school.
Through determination, resilience and the unwavering support of staff who believed in her, she has overcome challenges linked to OCD and dyslexia to become the confident, ambitious young woman she is today.
Now preparing for Westfield Sixth Form, where she plans to study PE, Medical Science and Criminology, Alex is proof that with the right support, young people can achieve more than they ever thought possible.
Congratulations, Alex. Your journey is inspiring, and your future is bright. ✨

30 Students. 30 Stories. 30 Achievements.✨
Today marks an important milestone in our Year 11 students' journeys, celebrating not only their GCSE results but also the personal growth and resilience that have brought them to this point.
Headmaster, Neil Walker, said: "Talking to families and students this morning it was evident that whilst results are important it is the confidence, resilience, skills and character that students have developed within our nurturing environment that will enable them to thrive in life beyond school.
"Our Year 11 students prove that pupils can achieve their goals, and even more, when they are known, supported and encouraged to pursue their dreams.”
We are excited to share some GCSE stories and further photos from this morning's celebrations.

Westfield School x Round Square🌎💫
This year, pupils embraced the Round Square ideals through unforgettable experiences both close to home and across the world.
✨An international exchange took Isabelle all the way to Seoul, where she immersed herself in Korean culture and school life.
✨Adventure took centre stage at Broomley Grange, as Upper 3 and Lower 4 pupils tackled tree climbs, tunnels, assault courses and rope swings, building resilience, teamwork and confidence along the way.
✨Service was at the heart of our much-loved Pyjama Day, where pupils and staff raised funds for the Round Square International Service Project in South Africa, supporting communities in Huhudi and the Tiger Kloof Educational Institute.
From muddy challenges and cultural discovery to fundraising that made a genuine difference, our pupils have truly lived the Round Square spirit this year – demonstrating courage, compassion and a willingness to step beyond their comfort zones.

Ten years ago, Amy joined Westfield in Year 3 with an EHCP. Today, she celebrates an incredible A* A A B and a place to study Environmental Science at University of Leeds.🎓🌟
Due to Amy’s fantastic progress at Westfield, her EHCP was removed by Year 9 showing just what a personalised approach to education can do.
Reflecting Amy said: "It was a much smaller environment at Westfield. I feel like I could cope with a bigger environment now, but when I was younger, definitely not."
"I feel like you wouldn't get that much attention and time to talk to teachers at a bigger school. You get a lot of one-to-one support and pastoral care at Westfield."
From a young pupil needing extra support to House Captain and confident Sixth Former, Amy's journey shows what can happen when every child is truly known, nurtured and encouraged to thrive.
We are so proud of you, Amy. Your future is bright!🎉

Westfield’s small classes and supportive environment helped Laura grow in confidence and realise her full potential.
"I always enjoyed Maths, but I didn't realise how good I was at it until I came to Westfield."
Well done, Laura! We can't wait to see what the future holds.👏
