🥖 Fabrication du pain 🥖
Our afternoon activity was making bread 🥯
As our students stepped into the role of bakers, making bread from scratch while learning the recipe in French, and using their language skills to play games and sing songs! 🎶
A great hands-on learning experience with lots of fun along the way

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) ⛅🥾
🧭 Our Bronze DofE participants completed their two-day qualifying expedition navigating their way along the stunning Hadrian's Wall path and the Pennine Way.
Despite windy conditions, spirits stayed high and teamwork was exceptional throughout.
💬 Amelia I reflected afterwards, “I learned new skills like map reading and teamwork, but also resilience, perseverance, and patience, skills that will help me through life.”
Now onto their Volunteering, Skills, and Physical sections to complete their awards. Best of luck to you all!

French Opal Coast Trip 🇫🇷
Boulogne Beach 🏖️
Boulogne beach 🏖️ treated us to warm sun ☀️ and good energy today.
A few stretched out on the sand while the rest jumped into a lively volleyball match.
Such a great stop on our Opal Coast trip 🇫🇷💙

French Opal Coast Trip 🇫🇷
Boulangerie 🥖
Our last stop today was a visit to a traditional French boulangerie, where the girls watched real French bread making and saw how authentic croissants are crafted from scratch. The baker even commented on how engaged, polite and well‑behaved our girls were throughout the visit. We’re incredibly proud of them — a lovely end to a brilliant day. 🥖🇫🇷

French Opal Coast Trip 🇫🇷
Escargot 🐌
Today we visited L’escargotière du Chorel to learn how snails are raised… and let’s just say the girls now know far more about snails than they ever expected. 🐌
The real challenge came next: tasting three different flavours of escargot.
Huge credit to the girls — far more of them were brave enough to try snails than any of us predicted. Some even went back for seconds. Who knew we had so many budding fans of la cuisine française?

Au marché d’Étaples - la gastronomie française!
The girls took on a brilliant market mission this morning at Étaples Market — buying their sandwich fillings while chatting confidently to the stallholders in French. They came back full of ideas and made their own filled French baguettes for lunch. Some really creative, healthy and delicious combinations on show. A fantastic mix of language skills, independence and foodie fun!
