🏫🎉 Today both Benfield School and St Hild’s CE School are hosting Careers Fairs for pupils from Year 7 through to Year 11.
Employers from across the region are engaging directly with young people, discussing qualification routes, apprenticeship pathways and progression opportunities within their sectors. The scale of engagement across all secondary year groups reinforces our belief that career awareness should start early and develop consistently.
Events like this strengthen the bridge between education and employment, ensuring pupils leave school with greater clarity and confidence.
Thank you to every employer supporting our pupils to know their future.

Leadership starts with experience.
When NEAT pupils step into real workplaces, they do more than observe. They build confidence. They develop clarity about their next steps. They begin to understand expectations, culture, and professional standards.
Exposure to employers helps young people connect classroom learning to real opportunity. It raises aspiration. It strengthens communication skills. It builds resilience and self-belief.
Across NEAT schools, we are committed to strengthening that exposure through structured employer engagement and meaningful work experience. This is about preparation, not chance encounters. It is about ensuring every experience adds value.
If your organisation wants to help shape confident, work-ready young people across Newcastle and the rest of our region, join the conversation.

🔎🤝 Midweek highlights from NEAT Careers Week demonstrate the value of sustained employer partnership.
Across our schools, pupils have explored apprenticeship pathways, technical qualifications, university routes and emerging industries. They have asked informed questions about progression, resilience and the realities of working life.
Tomorrow, both secondary schools will host Careers Fairs for pupils from Year 7 to Year 11, bringing together a broad range of employers under one roof. These events provide meaningful exposure and reinforce the message that career awareness develops over time.
Thank you to the organisations investing time and expertise in our young people.

🚀📅 NEAT Careers Week begins today across all eight schools.
Throughout the week, pupils will take part in assemblies, employer talks, workshops and structured sector sessions aligned with the theme Know Your Future. Activities have been designed to raise aspiration, build knowledge of pathways and strengthen confidence in decision‑making.
This is a visible expression of our Cradle to Careers strategy in action. It reflects our long‑term commitment to embedding careers education within personal development rather than treating it as a standalone event.
We look forward to sharing highlights and celebrating the impact of employer collaboration across the Trust.

Opening meaningful pathways requires collaboration.
Clear progression routes do not appear by chance. They are built through structured employer engagement, honest dialogue about expectations, and shared responsibility between schools and businesses.
When employers engage with NEAT schools, pupils gain insight into workplace culture, professional standards, and the skills needed to move successfully into employment, apprenticeships, or further study. That clarity strengthens confidence and raises aspiration.
Our Business Breakfast creates space for that collaboration. It brings together educators and employers to strengthen alignment, improve preparation for work experience, and build sustainable partnerships that benefit young people across Newcastle and the rest of our region.
If your organisation wants to help shape stronger pathways into the world of work, we would value your involvement.

💡📈 Careers education builds confidence, clarity and ambition when it is delivered consistently.
During NEAT Careers Week, pupils across our Trust will engage with employers, explore sectors they may not previously have considered and make clearer connections between classroom learning and future opportunity. For some pupils, a single conversation will broaden aspiration. For others, repeated exposure will gradually build direction and purpose.
This week demonstrates how our Cradle to Careers strategy works in practice. It reinforces the idea that career thinking is not limited to Year 11, but develops progressively from primary through to post‑16 pathways.
Follow the week as we showcase pupils beginning to know their future.

When education and industry work together, outcomes improve.
Employer insight brings clarity to the classroom. It helps pupils understand how subjects connect to real roles, real skills, and real opportunity. It ensures learning feels relevant and purposeful.
Meaningful encounters with employers raise aspiration. Structured placements build confidence. Honest conversations about expectations help young people prepare properly for the workplace.
At NEAT, we are committed to building long-term partnerships that benefit pupils, strengthen businesses, and contribute to the wider regional economy across Newcastle and the rest of our region. This is about sustainable collaboration, not one-off engagement.
If your organisation wants to shape the future workforce and strengthen the local talent pipeline, join us.
