Master/Postgraduate Diploma/Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Research, Clinical Research (Leadership) and Clinical Research (Ageing)

This part time modular programme is delivered by Newcastle University with The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The programme is particularly suitable for health professionals e.g. d
octors, nurses, midwives and allied health professionals, as well as clinical research support staff and those working in education and industry. It would be very relevant for those health professionals training to be a clinical academic. The aim of the programme is to enable you to understand, develop, deliver and disseminate clinical research. In your first year you will study the Certificate course, which consists of 60 credits. You can then opt to progress up to Diploma in year two, which consists of a further 60 credits. In this year you can choose optional modules in different aspects of clinical research or choose a specific pathway in either ageing or leadership (see table below). In your third year, in order to gain the Masters you must study the 60 credit Clinical Research Dissertation module. Suitable candidates may enrol to study both the Certificate and the Diploma concurrently. The modules are:

If you prefer not to commit to a Degree level course you can exit at Postgraduate Certificate level or Postgraduate Diploma level. Alternatively, you can study individual modules as accredited units of study. Entry requirements: Degree or equivalent (if on a professional register)
