Our brilliant pupil governors were asked to speak to the school governors about what children can do if they feel sad at school. This fabulous presentation shows what they found out, and it was too good not to share.

What a wonderful week! Book characters and pyjama wearing children eating the most amazing array of cakes, with stories being illustrated through toilet roll art, it's been a joy to be in school. A huge thank you to everyone who sent their child in this week, in any costume, or uniform, to those of you who sent in money to buy the cakes, and those who spent time with their children creating toilet roll stories. These are the things that build such positive memories for children and it has been lovely to see. The vouchers are ordered and winners will be announced in assembly on Monday. Up to now, more than £300 has been raised which will go towards buying some fabulous new books which the children have recommended. Here is just a selection of some of the outfits and cakes from around school this week and the fabulous toilet roll stories.

I have loved looking at the geography and history going on around school: from learning about the bombing of Byker; different climates across the world; finding out if Mr. Rowlands has the biggest feet and with a bit of Henry the Eighth thrown in talking about sports in Tudor times, there is always lots of exciting things to learn about at Beech Hill!
