That means we attend committee meetings ensuring that the student viewpoint is put forward, we challenge the University in areas we think it can improve and we campaign on student issues. We also have a range of activities that you can get involved in like Societies and Volunteering to make sure that you have a great time at Uni and develop your employability skills. And we run a range of services

including Habita, Reds and The STUDIO etc to give you the opportunity to socialise in a fun, safe environment right at the heart of campus.

We’ve got LOADS planned for you this year with three, yes THREE, weeks of events in store 🙀 From pre-freshers week activities for all you eager beavers who hit the toon early, the BIG WEEK ITSELF, and a week of events after to help keep the good vibes going 💃

Freshers Week itself kicks off on September 21st with our MASSIVE fairs! Think three whole days of freebies, food and societies galore 🤩

🌟 Planning and executing the final events!

We're looking for candidates with a genuine interest in the events and marketing industry, strong organisation skills and confidence communicating with a wide range of people.

Our 9 event spaces are indoor and outdoor and range from a capacity of 4 – 2000, which will give the candidate exposure to everything from small meetings to large-scale events.

You'll have the chance to work closely with the Marketing team to promote the Event Northumbria brand both locally and nationally, get the chance to network with other venues and bookers within the city, and develop great working relationships with our existing and future clients ensuring their loyal, repeat custom.

This role offers real hands-on experience and room to bring fresh ideas, with plenty of support from the wider NSU team as you develop your skills in sales and event delivery.
