Year 6 Open Evening!
Wednesday 11th September 2024
Doors will open at 5:00pm so that your family can enjoy a sample buffet menu from our wonderful catering team.
The evening will then run between 5:30pm and 7:30pm where we invite you to explore our newly refurbished facilities, learn about our curriculum and meet staff and pupils who can explain what life is really like at Norham High School.
We canβt wait to meet you!

Key reminders for the new academic year!
Following on from information sent out before summer, here is a reminder of our school uniform expectations as we move into the new school year. Only the following items are recognised as appropriate and required school uniform:
β Grey Emblematic blazer
β Plain white shirt or blouse with navy skinny school tie
β Navy v-neck jumper (optional)
β Emblematic kilt with black tights (minimum 60 denier)
β Matching grey trousers (no leggings or shorts) with black or navy socks
β Black, brown or tan shoes/boots only (no trainers)
β Lion badge, first one is gifted from the school
β School bag large enough to fit Chromebook and A4 documents
Please note that kilts must be an appropriate length and not rolled up. Also note that should any holes appear in tights then they must be replaced immediately. Tights are available from the Guidance Team for Β£1. Replacement lion badge can also be purchased for Β£1.
PE Kit Expectations
β Norham High School T-shirt available from Emblematic or given during transition
β Plain navy blue tracksuit bottoms, shorts or sports leggings. Branded items available from Emblematic
β Mid layer available from Emblematic (Compulsory from September 2024)
β Sports trainers for all PE lessons or football boots where appropriate.
β Black or navy blue socks
Jewellery, Hair and Makeup Expectations
β Makeup - minimal and natural
β False tan - minimal and natural
β Ear piercings - maximum of two small studs per ear, anywhere in the ear Small clear stud only - no septum piercing allowed
β Nose/nostril studs - small clear stud - no septum piercings
β Hair colour - natural colours only - no extreme hairstyles
β Other jewellery - one ring and/or watch and/or bracelet
Equipment Pack Expectations
β Pencil case
β Black pen with at least one spare
β Ruler 15cm
β Green pen for feedforward response
β Green highlighter

β Pencil with at least one spare
β Pencil sharpener
Stationery can be purchased at school for a discounted price with more exciting pieces available in the reward shop. Pupils are also welcome to purchase their stationery elsewhere.
Independent Learning (IL)
The Key Stage 3 Independent Learning timetable will commence from the 9th of September. Key Stage 4 will be set Independent Learning by all subjects. All pupils have time allocated throughout their timetable in order to complete (IL). This is a compulsory part of the Norham High School day. Failure to complete IL will result in a detention.
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club will resume from Monday 9th September at the usual time of 8am in the World Cafe.

I am so excited to meet all of the new and returning students coming back to school for what will be a rewarding but hard working year.
This is an exciting time for parents especially whose children are starting in year 7. We all love to post images on social media however it is important to be aware of some of the dangers associated with this.
