At St Gabriel's Gosforth Nursery, we're incredibly proud to have been supporting St Oswald's Hospice for over two years through a variety of fundraising events and activities.

As a charity that is so close to our local community, we believe it's important to teach our children the values of kindness, compassion and helping others from an early age. Every fundraiser has given our nursery families the opportunity to make a real difference while coming together for an amazing cause.

👩‍🍳 Meet Elaine – Our Wonderful Nursery Cook! 💙

Today we'd love to introduce you to the lovely Elaine, our dedicated nursery cook, who has been part of the St Gabriel's Gosforth Nursery family for almost 4 years.

Elaine is passionate about creating delicious, healthy meals that our children look forward to every day. She takes great pride in everything she prepares, ensuring every meal follows the Department for Education (DfE) nutritional guidelines and provides our children with a balanced, nutritious diet to support their growth and development.

Elaine always goes the extra mile. Whether it's creating spectacular buffets for our Christmas parties, Christmas lunch or our Preschool Graduation celebrations, she puts her heart into making every special occasion one to remember.

One of the highlights of nursery life is our "Cooking with Elaine" sessions. These hands-on experiences are always full of fun, laughter and learning. The children enjoy preparing a variety of tasty foods while exploring new ingredients, developing independence, building confidence and learning valuable life skills. They don't just make food—they experience the whole cooking journey from start to finish!

It's no surprise that the children absolutely love Elaine's cooking, and we are incredibly grateful for the care, creativity and dedication she brings to our nursery every single day.👏❤️
