If your child is aged 5–10 years and is eligible for the HAF programme, they can enjoy action-packed holiday sessions filled with fun, creativity and adventure—all at no cost.

☀️ Newcastle’s Best Holiday Ever is Back for Summer 2026! ☀️

We’re excited to be part of Newcastle’s Best Holiday Ever this summer, offering FREE HAF holiday sessions for eligible children and young people.

Funded by the Department for Education, the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme provides children who receive benefits-related free school meals, or who may be in need, with access to fun, enriching activities throughout the holidays.

At Ladybird Holiday Club, children can enjoy:

🍽️ A FREE nutritious lunch every day (hot lunch at Scotswood)
🎨 Arts, crafts and creative activities
⚽ Sports, games and outdoor play
🤝 Opportunities to make new friends
🌟 Safe, welcoming and engaging holiday experiences

Yesterday we celebrated our wonderful children who will be leaving us in September🥹❤️

We had lots of fantastic party games such as pass the parcel and musical bumps!🕺

Thank you to everyone who came along to celebrate our children it was a lovely afternoon❤️

This week our focused book is “The Hundred Decker Bus” by Mike Smith!📚🚌

The children explored the different places visited by the bus , from the stars in space to the blue sea, grassy areas with a bridge and sandy beach!🌊✨🌲🐚

🐞🎓Graduation 2026🐞🎓

Yesterday we celebrated our amazing children at their graduation party! It was so lovely to give them certificates and medals and discuss how much they have grown throughout the year🥹❤️

We are so sad to see you all go, but we are very proud of each and every one of you. You have achieved so much and are more than ready for your next adventure to big school! We know you will flourish in big school and continue to shine✨❤️

A big thank you to all of the parents and carers who joined our graduation celebration! It was such a special day❤️
