๐๐ Ocean Sensory Bottles ๐ ๐
Today our little explorers had a wonderful time creating and investigating ocean-themed sensory bottles! Filled with water, oil, shells, sea creatures, and shades of blue, these calming bottles encouraged curiosity, language development, and sensory exploration.
The children loved shaking, rolling, and observing the movement inside their bottles while talking about life under the sea. A fun and engaging activity that supports creativity, focus, and understanding of the world around us! ๐โจ

The children enjoyed making hot air balloon crafts. ๐
They drew shapes and filled them with colourful tissue paper. This activity helped to develop their fine motor skills as they carefully picked up, tore, and stuck the tissue paper.
The children worked hard and created some lovely colourful balloons. Well done, everyone!

๐ Circle Time Fun! ๐
Our children love starting the day together at circle time. We fill our interactive board and sing our favourite songs, including the โHow Are You?โ song, Days of the Week song, and Months of the Year song. ๐ถ
We also talk about the weather and discuss what we can see outside. โ๏ธโ๏ธ๐ง๏ธ
Each week we learn a new Sign of the Week, helping us develop communication skills and learn inclusive ways to interact with others. ๐ค
Circle time is a wonderful opportunity to build confidence, develop language skills, and encourage participation in a fun and engaging way. ๐

๐โฝ Good Luck to All the Teams! โฝ๐
As the world comes together to celebrate the beautiful game, everyone at our nursery would like to wish all the teams taking part in the World Cup the very best of luck!
We are excited to learn about different countries, cultures, and flags while cheering on the players who inspire teamwork, determination, and respect.
No matter the result, you are all champions for representing your nations with pride. Have fun, play fair, and enjoy every moment!
๐ Good luck ๐

โ๏ธ๐ Our sensory cloud tuff tray was a wonderful invitation to explore, create, and imagine! The children enjoyed investigating the soft, fluffy โclouds,โ using their senses to touch, squeeze, and mould them into different shapes.
As they played, we talked about clouds in the sky, what they look like, and how they move. The children used descriptive language to share their ideas and worked together to create their own cloud-filled scenes. It was a fantastic opportunity to develop sensory awareness, communication skills, creativity, and imaginative play. โจโ๏ธ

Story of the week โจ but take it outside โ๏ธ๐
๐โ๏ธ This week we took In the Air by Claire Philip outside and let our imaginations take flight! We became aeroplanes, hot air balloons, and helicopters, and we even went upside down like propeller planes. ๐๐โ๏ธ
As we played, we talked about the force of lift and explored how aircraft stay in the air. The children enjoyed trying to jump in the wind to see if it could help them fly, sparking lots of curiosity, laughter, and learning through play. ๐ฌ๏ธโจ

For over 20 years, Amanda has been a valued member of our nursery family. As our Financial Administrator, she has been at the heart of our organisation, supporting countless children, families, and colleagues throughout the years. Long before joining our administration team, Amanda was a manager at our Scotswood setting, dedicating her career to helping children thrive and grow.
Many years ago, Amanda brought her own little girl, Chloe, through our nursery doors. Watching Chloe grow from a curious toddler into the remarkable young lady she is today has been a privilege for so many of us who have shared in her journey.
Now 11 years old, Chloe faces challenges every day with extraordinary courage, determination, and a smile that can brighten even the toughest of days. Chloe has cerebral palsy, a condition that affects her movement, balance, and coordination. Everyday tasks that many of us take for granted can require additional support, patience, and perseverance. Yet Chloe never lets her condition define her. Her resilience, positivity, and infectious sense of humour continue to inspire everyone who knows her.
This fundraising campaign has been created to help Chloe access an Exopulse Suit, a specialist piece of equipment designed to help reduce muscle spasticity, stiffness, and chronic pain associated with neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy. Earlier this year, Chloe was given the opportunity to trial the suit for two weeks, and the results were nothing short of incredible. Within just 24 hours, her family began to see significant improvements, giving hope for a future with greater comfort, independence, and mobility.
To help make this life-changing equipment a reality, a group of Chloeโs family, friends, and supporters will be taking on a charity walk from Newburn to Tynemouth this August, dressed as superheroes โ a fitting tribute to the superhero spirit Chloe shows every single day.
As a nursery family, Chloeโs story is especially close to our hearts. Amanda has spent decades caring for and supporting others, and now we have the opportunity to support her and Chloe in return.
Thank you for taking the time to read Chloeโs story. Every donation, share, and word of encouragement will help bring Chloe one step closer to accessing the support she needs. Your kindness and generosity will make a genuine and lasting difference to the life of a very special young girl and her family.

The children enjoyed a fun parachute activity inspired by thunder, rain and lightning. Through movement, imagination and teamwork, they explored different weather sounds and actions while developing their listening skills, coordination and confidence. The smiles on their faces and the excitement in their eyes said it all as they laughed, played and learned together. โ๏ธ๐ง๏ธ
