Tomorrow, Leanne begins her maternity leave, and she will certainly be missed in the nursery during her time away.

I’d like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to her for all the dedication and support she has given me as a manager.

Early Words Together
5-6 week programme for parents/carers and their 2-4yr olds to help develop literacy, language and communication skills.

Nicola was nominated for her exceptional leadership and dedication across multiple nurseries. She has provided ongoing support to teams, covering additional locations, supporting recruitment and reducing reliance on agency staff. She consistently works additional hours, maintains high operational standards and supports colleagues with her extensive knowledge and guidance. Her passion and commitment have strengthened team performance and ensured high-quality care across settings.

The preschoolers have been so excited to observe the live butterflies as they hatched from their cocoons into butterflies, learning all about the life cycle along the way. Today, they went out to the field to release the butterflies. The children enjoyed getting a close-up view before letting them free.🐛🦋

During May, we've been busy with a range of activities across the rooms! To help your little ones stay cool in the warmer weather, we’ve had plenty of water play. We've also set up small world tuff trays to spark imaginative play and support their understanding of the world. Additionally, the children have enjoyed some messy fun with junk modelling, painting, and playdough, which helps to enhance their fine and large motor skills as well as their creativity in expressive arts and design. We have also enjoyed being out doors and in our garden and local community exploring different types of transport and wildlife 🌼🌿

Today, our preschoolers enjoyed a fun tooth brushing activity! They happily discussed the importance of taking care of our teeth and why it's essential to brush twice a day.😁🦷

Last summer, some of our preschoolers had the exciting opportunity to work with artist Josie Stewart on a piece of artwork for the Galafield Intergenerational Art Project. The children thoroughly enjoyed sharing their experiences and created lovely drawings of themselves playing at the park and climbing trees.

Together, they created a tribute to "being here" by making a visual memory imprint of their fingers and hands, which has now been transformed into a beautiful plaster relief plaque.

The children in Caterpillars have had a fun morning exploring different science experiments. The children used bicarbonate of soda mixed with white vinegar on frozen paint blocks, they used pipettes to squeeze the bicarbonate of soda onto them. The children were very excited when the paint started fizzing in the tray.
