MedEd is hoping to come up with ways we can help clinical students (i.e. those in years 3,4 and 5) prepare for any written skills assessments.

We need your help. Please fill out the survey below to help us 'plug the gap' when preparing for your written skills assessments.

**Opportunity to get involved with teaching for students in any year**

Volunteers are needed to participate in the - 'Teaching when you are not an expert' - event.

In this event, you will be taught about a topic by a doctor and able to provide feedback to them in a safe space. No preparation or prior knowledge is needed!
They also provide lunch and certificates for portfolios, so it is a win-win arrangement!

The session details are:
Tuesday 10th Jan 2023 KGVI.B.84 and KGVI.B.86 from 1400-1600 (but welcome to join for lunch at 1300). NO preparation is necessary.

The Newcastle BMA reps are holding an event to talk about what the BMA is, what it can do for you and current national issues the BMA is working on!

We're also looking to hear about any issues you may be having at the moment and talk about how they can be solved

Would love to see you there! It's on Wednesday the 2nd of November at 18:30 in the David Shaw

There will be biscuits and cake.

Hello everyone,

We have recently been made aware of a post that was shared to a page owned by MedEd NCL. We appreciate that this post may have caused distress to some students and we apologise for any upset caused by this.
We are working with the Medical School and wellbeing services at the University who are managing wellbeing concerns for any students impacted.
MedEd will continue to support students at Newcastle University throughout their medical degrees. We would encourage any student with wellbeing concerns to contact the Newcastle University wellbeing services for further support. We are also reviewing our social media policies and will be enacting change shortly.

Pastoral support is available to all medical students - you can request support by emailing [email protected].
