Keynote speaker: Professor Andrew Ballantyne
Professor of Architecture

Staff - Architecture, Planning & Landscape - Newcastle University Andrew qualified and practised as an architect before taking up research, starting with a PhD on Richard Payne Knight and the theory of the picturesque. He has worked with archaeologists surveying a Byzantine settlement in Greece, and more recently on architectural theory.

Keynote speaker: Dr Neveen Hamza
Director MSc Sustainable Buildings and Environments, Senior Lecturer in Architecture

Staff - Architecture, Planning & Landscape - Newcastle University Neveen studied her First Degree and MSc. in Architecture in Alexandria University, Egypt. She obtained her PhD from Newcastle University on the performance of Double skin facades in hot arid areas.
