End of Term News- Summer 2026 Kenton Bar Primary School Dear Parents/Carers,

Here is the newsletter for Summer 2 Week 6!

If you are looking for a Nursery place in September, or are new to the area and looking for a Reception place, please come along to our open evening on Monday 6th July. Please tag anyone who you think might be interested!

Year 3 had a fantastic day taking part in "Time Odyssey" at the Great North Museum: Hancock. Using interactive technology, the children explored fascinating museum objects and collections while completing an exciting quest around the museum. It was a fun and engaging experience that brought history to life and encouraged the children to discover more about the past.

⭐️ What a brilliant end to the Year 6 residential! The children have enjoyed the zip wire and some tricky abseiling! Lots of nervous children for abseiling but they conquered their fears! We are now on our way home with lots of tired children! We will let parents know when we are approximately 20 minutes away from school ⭐️

⭐️Year 6 have had another brilliant day. They have faced the quick jump, an obstacle course, the giant swing, a sensory trail and the climbing wall. We also celebrated a very special residential birthday ⭐️

Things to do in the holidays

⭐️Year 6 have had a fantastic first day of activities - they tackled the vertical challenge, archery tag and had a game show night. They are now all getting ready for bed, ahead of another busy day tomorrow ⭐️

Year 6 children have arrived at their residential and have had their lunch. They are all ready for an action packed afternoon of activities!
