During Refugee Week, we have been thinking about simple acts. Simple Acts are everyday actions we can all do to stand with refugees and make new connections in our communities. Below are images by Quentin Blake with suggestions of simple acts we can all do to make new connections and show our support for refugees.

Year 3 have been working hard on the Young Marketeers project with School Food Matters. The children have planted and grown their own produce which they will sell at Grainger Market. The children are learning so much through this project and have been so proud of what they have grown.

Last week, our Year 4 pupils enjoyed a visit to the Laing Art Gallery as part of the Schools Linking Project. They were partnered with a Year 4 class from Bill Quay Primary School in Gateshead, working together on a collaborative art project.

The artwork created will be on display at the Laing Art Gallery from Thursday 25th June to Monday 29th June. We would love for families and the wider community to come along and support the children’s wonderful work! 🎨

🌟Join Us Tomorrow – Ways to Wellbeing Session🌟

We’re excited to invite you to another ‘Ways to Wellbeing’ session tomorrow at 2pm (18th June).

🧠 Focus: Understanding Brain Development
In this relaxed and friendly session, we’ll explore how children’s brains grow and change, and how these important developments can influence behaviour.

💬 Together, we will:
* Look at why children behave the way they do
* Share practical ideas to better understand your child
* Explore supportive ways to work with your child and help reduce conflict at home

This is a great opportunity to connect, reflect, and pick up helpful strategies in a welcoming environment.
✨ We would love to see as many of you there as possible!
📍 See you tomorrow at 2pm!
