Today is World Ocean Day 🌊

Over 11 million tonnes of plastic enter the ocean every year with more than 1 million seabirds and 100,000 marine animals dying from plastic pollution in our oceans every year.

And it's not just plastic that's the problem. Overfishing and bottom trawling is a huge issue. Commercial fishing practices are highly indiscriminate, up to 40% of animals that are hauled in are unintended, including thousands of dolphins, seabirds, and turtles.

We can take action. Keir Starmer has the power to stop bottom trawling but he's choosing to defend the interests of greedy fishing corporations instead.
