🤖✨ Another Fantastic Sunday Session at The Kids-Hub! ✨🤖

What an incredible afternoon at the Great Park Community Centre today!

Our young engineers and coders got creative as they designed, built and programmed a wide range of amazing LEGO® Robotics models. From hardworking miners and spinning centrifuges to impressive tree houses, every child brought their imagination to life through coding and engineering.

The best part? Many of our children went beyond the guided builds and created their very own inventions, using code to make their unique creations move, react and come alive. 🚀

It’s always inspiring to see the creativity, problem solving, resilience and teamwork our children demonstrate each week. Watching their confidence grow as they experiment, test ideas and overcome challenges is exactly what The Kids-Hub is all about.

A huge well done to all of our brilliant coders and engineers today. We can’t wait to see what you create next week! 💡⚙️🤖

⚽🤖 Brunton First School LEGO Robotics World Cup Challenge! 🤖⚽

What an incredible session at Brunton First School this week as our young engineers celebrated the excitement of the World Cup with a LEGO Robotics Football Challenge!

Using LEGO Education robotics kits, pupils designed, built and programmed their own robotic football players before putting their creations to the test on the pitch.

Throughout the challenge, children developed:

⚽ Coding and programming skills
⚽ Problem solving and critical thinking
⚽ Teamwork and communication
⚽ Engineering and design skills
⚽ Creativity and innovation
⚽ Resilience through testing and improving their robots

The children programmed motors and movement controls, experimented with speed and accuracy, and worked together to score goals in our exciting robotic football matches.

As well as having great fun, pupils were developing key Computing and STEM skills that support the National Curriculum through hands on learning and real world problem solving.

There were some fantastic goals, plenty of celebrations and lots of future engineers in the making! 🏆

Well done to all of our amazing robot footballers at Brunton First School!

🌉 Minecraft Engineers in Action! 🌉

This week our young innovators took on the Empowering Engineers: Bridges Challenge in Minecraft Education!

Children explored how real engineers solve problems by designing and building bridges that could safely connect communities and overcome obstacles. Along the way they discovered different bridge styles including truss, arch, cantilever, cable stayed and suspension bridges, learning how each design is used in the real world.

Using creativity, teamwork and problem solving skills, they:
✅ Investigated real engineering challenges
✅ Designed and tested their own bridge structures
✅ Learned about strength, stability and materials
✅ Developed resilience by improving and redesigning their builds
✅ Practised critical thinking and collaboration

The results were incredible, with some fantastic designs spanning rivers, valleys and challenging terrain!

Next up, we’re heading into the fascinating world of Building with Bees, where our students will discover the importance of pollinators and create their own Minecraft bee habitats and “Beetopias”. 🐝🌻

At The Kids-Hub, learning is all about creativity, problem solving and having fun while building skills for the future.

📸 We’d love to see which bridge design you would choose to cross!
