Our Story

Northumbria Students’ Union exists to make a positive impact on the lives of all our members, Northumbria students. NSU Education is the home of our education work. Our elected officers, staff team and a thousand volunteers are speaking up for students right across the University, and getting involved in projects to make a Northumbria education the best it can be. Our advice service provides students with free, independent and confidential information on University processes and their rights within these.

We always aim to effectively represent students’ academic interests, but we can only truly do this with student involvement and support. So know your reps, speak to them about your issues and experiences, and think about getting involved. We have opportunities for students, no matter what time you can give and what experience you have. Our roles allow you to make a difference at Northumbria while building and demonstrating key skills and valuable leadership experience.
