Happy New Year and welcome back.
We hope you've all enjoyed a lovely break - have you enjoyed the snow over the last few days?
We've got a busy term coming up in the Trust so watch out for updates on the exciting activities we will be launching over the coming weeks.
North Tyneside Learning Trust
North Tyneside Learning Trust is dedicated to improving education & life chances for children & young people
And that's the autumn term done. Thank you to everyone for supporting the Trust and we look forward to working with you in 2026!
We're nearly at the end of the autumn term and what a busy one it's been.
The WOW team has been out delivering careers fairs, career speed dating events and mock interviews.
We visited more residential schemes for A Splash of Colour Intergenerational and have been back for some carol singing.
We hosted our 2025 Annual Members Meeting and the 4th Phizzi Conference.
And so much more...
Join us in 2026 for STEAMLive, Future Focus, NTLT Talks, A Splash of Colour art exhibition, the NTLT Star Awards, Young People's Sumit and loads more!
If this is the expression from an adult doing this for the first time, imagine the look on a child's face 😲😃
This was one of the activities teachers took part in at our Phizzi Conference yesterday looking at light and sound.
Try this in your class, or at home:
Take a wire coat hanger and attach a piece of wire to each corner. Wrap the end of each piece of wire around your index finger (not super tight and only once, we don't want any injuries thank you). Pop your fingers in your ears. Tap the coat hanger against a surface and enjoy 😲 You can also try different material like string, cotton, fishing line in place of wire.

We've had a fab day for this year's Phizzi Conference.
Teachers from across the Trust spent the day investigating light and sound and picked up loads of great ideas to take back to the classroom.
Thanks as always to Lorraine and Amanda for your fabulous delivery and sending us all home enthused and excited.

What a wonderful week we've had with our intergeneration art project 'A Splash of Colour Intergenerational'.
This week we've visited Tamar Close with Preston Grange Primary School, and Preston Grange with Monkhouse Primary School and our sessions focused on creating lovely art inspired by our conversations.
These sessions are so rich in conversation and heart warming moments, it is an absolute pleasure to be part of them 🥰

The World of Work team are this morning for career speed dating with year 7s.
Career speed dating introduces young people to a range of careers and gives them the opportunity to ask questions and start finding out more about jobs they might never have heard of.
It also gives them a really good insight into the skills needed for employment and how they can be transferred across professions.

We're all set up to welcome headteachers, governors and supporters from business to our annual members meeting.
We'll be showcasing the work of the Trust including A Splash of Colour Intergenerational, NTLT Talks, Astro camp and much more.
Our "A Splash of Colour Intergenerational" exhibition has closed 😢
But don't worry, you can still see what it was all about here 😊
We have so many people and organisations to thank for helping us make the project and exhibition happen...

This time last week we were coming to the end of our 12th annual NTLT Star Awards celebration.
Throughout the night, we celebrated the non-academic successes of 28 children and young people from across Trust Partner Schools.
Each finalist was presented with a special prize bag thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, and of course the whole night was made possible by our main sponsor Vision for Education.
Thank you to everyone involved in celebrating the success of our children and young people 🌟
Our latest newsletter is now live. Take a look to find out what we've been up to this term.
