It was a windy afternoon in the forest. We went on an unsuccessful cricket hunt and enjoyed hiding in the long grass. It's amazing how much it changes from week to week.

We hope everyone has a lovely weekend and that year 5 and 6 catch up on some much needed sleep after a very busy week.

🚌 Residential Trip Update 🚌
We've made it to Bellingham and are dropping off our Greenhaugh children before heading on to Otterburn.
The excitement of the last few days is finally catching up with everyone - 5 out of 16 children are currently asleep on the bus! 😴💤 The rest are enjoying a well-earned rest and chatting about their favourite bits from the trip.
Not long now until we're home!

Our final day. Sunshine and showers, fun in the park and then a great time in the pool. Everyone enjoyed the slide - well done to those who were a little worried at first but gave it a go and ended up going down again and again. We're looking forward to getting home soon!

The girls have now surfaced and enjoyed their breakfast! They're currently busy sorting out their bags, packing up their rooms and getting their swimming things ready for this morning.
Everyone is in good spirits and looking forward to one final activity before we begin our journey home later today. 🏊‍♀️😊

Good morning from Greenhead!
All is quiet with the girls! Meanwhile, the boys are up, full of energy, bags packed and already enjoying a game of pool before breakfast.
The boys have also had a head start on breakfast this morning as some were beginning to get hungry!
We're looking forward to our final day together before heading home later. 😊🚍

After a walk to the Roman Army Museum this morning, our Year 5/6 pupils hopped on the bus to Vindolanda for an afternoon of Roman discovery! 🚌🏛️⚔️
The children explored the fascinating remains of the Roman settlement. We even found a sign showing that Rome is 1,125 miles away – a brilliant reminder of just how vast the Roman Empire once was!
The children have asked some fantastic questions.
Now we're looking forward to a relaxing film night together before our final day tomorrow! 🍿🎬😊
