π±π» Year 5 Market Gardeners Hit the Big Time! π»π±
Today our amazing Year 5 pupils are at Grainger Market, Newcastle, selling the produce they have grown themselves as part of their School Food Matters project! π
π₯π₯¬
The children have worked incredibly hard planting, nurturing and harvesting their crops, developing valuable enterprise and teamwork skills along the way.
To make the day even more exciting, some of our pupils were interviewed on BBC Radio Newcastle, sharing their experiences and talking about their fantastic produce! ποΈβ
We are so proud of their enthusiasm, confidence and entrepreneurial spirit. If you're in the city today, why not pop along and support our young growers!

βοΈ Warm Weather this weekβοΈ
Dear parents, You will have seen on the news that there is a weather warning in place for heat over the rest of the week (Tuesday 23 June to Friday 26 June). To combat this, school will be relaxing uniform rules so that the children are more comfortable. Therefore, for the rest of the week, we would like children to come in their PE kits. Cultural Day will still happen on Wednesday, and pupils can still come into school in their traditional dress if they would like to. In addition, we would ask that the children have sunscreen applied at home before they come to school and are equipped with a water bottle and a cap / sun hat. All clothing needs to be appropriate for school. Children will have regular access to water throughout the day.
