“There’s no doubt that screens will always be part of our children's lives, but making space for screen-free fun can spark creativity, independence and joyful summer memories.” We just love this from our partners at Kit & Kin 💚
At Kids Planet, we believe those moments matter most. That’s why there’s no screen time in our nurseries - just meaningful play, exploration and connection.
From muddy puddles to garden adventures, we champion outdoor learning and getting out in nature every day, come rain or shine. Because it’s through fresh air, freedom and fun that children build confidence, imagination and a lifelong love of learning.

We’re evolving how we keep our community safe 💚
As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding excellence, we’re taking an even more careful approach to what we share on social media, and focusing on storytelling, activities and updates, with fewer identifiable images.
Over the coming weeks, this page will be closing as we transition to our new regional page Kids Planet North East, where you’ll still find all the latest news from your local nurseries in one place.
Keep an eye out for your new regional page and make sure you’re following to stay connected.
As always, Famly remains the best place for personalised updates about your child.
Thank you for being part of the Kids Planet family! 💫

This week our Pre School children have been focusing on healthy eating. We read the story of 'The Hungry Catapillar', taking part in different activities surrounding the story. In the garden, the children were invited to try and taste different fruits from the story just like the Hungry Caterpillar.🐛🍎🍓🍊🍐

Choosing the right nursery is a big decision 💭 and it’s just got a little more interesting.
With Ofsted introducing major inspection changes, how nurseries are assessed (and what really matters) is evolving ✨
The good news? We’ve broken it all down into a simple, easy-to-read guide for parents, so you can feel confident in what to look for, and what it means for your child 👇

This week in the Pre school room, the children have been focusing on road safety. In the garden, the children took it in turns to ride the bikes and cars around the track, stopping at the 'STOP' signs and continuing at the 'GO' signs.🚙🚲

The children have been exploring their sense of self as we talked about how everyone is different and unique. The children in the Toddler room all joined in with looking at themselves in the mirror before creating their own self portrait. We talked about and recognised our own features such as the colour of out eyes and hair.😊

💜 Congratulations to Clare and Deandra! 💜
We’re incredibly proud of our CEO Clare Roberts OBE and Outdoor Specialist Deandra Kennedy, who both took part in the AJ Bell Manchester Run on Sunday 31st May in support of the amazing charity, Girls Out Loud.
Clare, a Girls Out Loud Ambassador, completed the half marathon, while Deandra, who volunteers as a Big Sister, took on the 10K - an incredible achievement from them both!
They’ve both shared what an amazing experience it was to be part of such an inspiring event, surrounded by so many people coming together for a meaningful cause. The sense of community within Girls Out Loud is truly special, and it was fantastic to see that support in action on the day.
Girls Out Loud continues to do vital work empowering young girls to build confidence, resilience, and create positive futures, and we’re so proud to support their mission.
If you’d still like to show your support, donations are open here:
