Another great cooking session round the campfire making ’Singing Hinnies’ as part of a topic on the North East. 🙂🔥🫓

A great session making poffertjes (Dutch pancake) around the campfire in celebration of pancake day. They were delicious and an easy way to feed a class of children! 🙂🥞🪵🔥

Day 2 of our Forest School sessions at Stobhillgate First School. Today, we had a pirate theme. Could we become woodland pirates and locate the hidden treasure buried years ago? First we made bandanas or belts and either a sword or bow and arrow. Then we followed the clues to locate the buried treasure. Finally, once the rain had stopped, we gathered round the firepit to cook our pizzas and marshmallows. Another great day with fantastic children from Stobhillgate and Abbeyfields. A credit to both schools showing amazing teamwork, listening skills and perseverance. Well done everyone!

A successful first Forest School holiday session at Stobhillgate First School. We began our Halloween themed session with a pumpkin hunt to crack Pumpkin Witch's code. We cut and decorated spell tokens, made our own magical wands and cooked round the campfire. A great day with some amazing children!

We have reviewed our sessions and can now accommodate nursery and reception age children at our sessions in Oct half term at Stobhillgate First School.
Sadly, we can't accommodate parents at these sessions due to safeguarding. 😊

Our sessions have now been opened up to other First Schools in Morpeth.
If your child is 5+ they are welcome to sign up to our sessions on Tues 31st Oct (a Halloween special!) and Wed 1st Nov.

We are excited to be able to offer Forest School sessions during the half term holiday for children who attend Stobhillgate First School.
We are running 2 sessions on Tues 31st Oct and Wed 1st Nov from 9am-12pm.
One session costs £20 per child. Two sessions costs £35 per child.
We will be covering fun activities such as den building, campfire cooking, fire lighting and using tools safely and effectively.
