My name is Ashleigh Whillis and I am a fully qualified teacher with over 7 years experience within an outstanding primary school setting. Throughout my career, I have been able to establish positive relationships with my pupils and the families I work alongside and have engaged and inspired learners in various year groups. I am confident that my skills and knowledge will enable my tutoring to develop your child’s self-confidence and understanding of the National Curriciulm.

I am able to deliver sessions in your home should you have a quiet learning space or I have a dedicated area for study within my own home in the Whitley Bay area.

What tutoring can I offer? Today, I received a message asking what my tutoring sessions could be based on. I thought I’d share my answer here:

🌈 I can deliver English based sessions where we can focus on developing reading, writing and spelling skills.
🌈 Maths sessions can be based on a specific concept such as addition or subtraction or times-tables but could also be a mix of tasks to develop number fluency.
🌟 In the new term, I could also deliver homework sessions and support your child with completing their set homework tasks by recapping concepts linked to their work which they have covered in school. This will support with addressing any of your child’s misconceptions and build self-confidence.

Sessions would typically be 60 minutes at a cost of £20. However, this cost would be reduced if multiple lessons were booked in.
