A big thank you to Amy from AJ’s Brain for being our brilliant guest this morning at our Cuppa and Cake group for families with autistic children aged 5–11 ☕✨

It was a fantastic opportunity for families to hear about Amy’s lived experience as an autistic and ADHD adult, and for everyone to share and connect. It was wonderful to hear how much our families enjoyed today’s session and appreciated having Amy with us. Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback with us:

"It was amazing to meet Amy. She talked so well about her experiences and it has given me lots to think about."

"Really enjoyed the open chat and honesty, brilliant guest speaker, lovely staff and chat."

"Brilliant support, fantastic session again, thank you."

"Fantastic session with AJ's Brain, lovely group sharing stories."

"Amazing group, learn a lot and I'm heard, love it."

We are looking forward to welcoming Amy back next Monday (15th December, 10am–11.30am) for our Cuppa and Cake group for parents and carers of autistic children and young people aged 11–18. More information about the session, and the option to book your place, can be found on our website: https://www.ttht.co.uk/event/cuppa-and-cake-for-families-of-autistic-children-aged-11-18-6/.

Hyper-empathy is common in many autistic individuals and can make everyday life emotionally intense. If you or your child feel deeply for others — even animals, characters, or objects — you’re not alone.
