World Cup fever has hit the classroom doors . Each class has a team, who has the best door and can you spot the deliberate mistake

One of our students, Mel, is part of Whitley bay Beacons U16s girls team they have won the northern league 3 times in a row and have recently (25th May) just won nationals at play offs. Meaning this year they are the best U16s girls team in the country. Well Done Mel.

Students have had a brilliant visit from the ambulance service today having a look around the ambulance and asking staff lots of questions about their job and the ambulance.

Year 11 have been practicing mock interviews developing communication and confidence. They had a mock interview with industry partners from Azure Education, NHS and the NT learning trust. Our visitors were so pleased with how polite, confident and professional the students were.

Good luck to our Duke of Edinburgh group who are heading of on their 2day expedition up into Northumberland. They are using Haltwhistle camp site for their base. Have a great time and don’t get lost.

10A wall display getting ready for the World Cup

Hi everybody - as some of you know I was a away on Monday to visit the Houses of Parliament - Speakers Residence to meet with the Orchestras For All - staff and students (a UK charity supporting access for all students no auditions). Eight of our students are in the Modulo Orchestra of 90 people along with Woodlawn too. My colleague from Woodlawn, Dave Allen, also went and we also met the amazing Speaker himself Sir Lyndsay Hoyle (star struck!!)
