This week, we have enjoyed investigating a bag of STEM resources. The children enjoyed exploring and playing with the resources and loved engaging in the role play of careers in construction and engineering!

Reception had a super Play Projects this week focusing on construction. We designed our own buildings and brought our ideas to life. We also used a STEM box to help us with our task and very much looked the part! 🌟

This week, we have been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly through reading the story “ The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle. The children have loved creating their own symmetrical butterflies for our class display. 🦋

Reception have had a lovely week back together starting our new topic: 'Ahoy There!' We have been reading ‘Sharing a Shell’ and making some fabulous pieces of art as well as working on our number bonds to ten. Well done Reception! 🌟

Year 4
Intent: Creative
Year 4 have had a great start to the ☀️Summer Term ☀️with Ballet Lorent. We are excited to start our journey of magical story-telling with movement and music. Over the next 4 weeks we will be working on a retelling of Hansel and Gretel, told through the medium of expressive dance! 💃🕺

We’ve had a busy start back to Summer Term with Maths work on time, English work planning our own directional instructions to fantastical places and starting our sculpture unit in Art! William even made a Dove! Amazing creativity and character shown today Year 2!

Nursery have had a fantastic week taking part in the whole school Aspirations Week. We have loved welcoming so many wonderful visitors into school to talk to us about their jobs and the children have enjoyed thinking about what jobs they might like to do in the future. Thank you to all of our visitors for giving up their time to come and see us. We hope everyone has a lovely half term break.🌟

Reception have had an amazing Aspirations Week with lots of visitors and lots of opportunities to learn about what we’d like to do when we grow up!🌟 Wishing you all a super half-term! 🌟

Year 1

We enjoyed National Numeracy Day on Wednesday. We played a game called Milo’s Money which was great for helping us to work out totals and change. We also played lots of maths games and loved using different strategies to play, and even better win!
