🌿🤎 A new chapter at Willowfields… 🤎🌿

This week feels like a very special one for us.

We are getting ready to open our doors and welcome our new Willowfields children and families, and honestly, we couldn’t be more excited. 🥹💚

There is something so lovely about the beginning of a new term — those first little steps through the door, the nervous smiles, the cuddles, the new friendships and watching children slowly become comfortable enough to call Willowfields their second home.

And this term feels even more special as we officially welcome our new members of the Willowfields team. We feel incredibly lucky to have such a lovely group of people around our children, and we’re excited to see the new ideas, energy and experiences they will bring to our little nursery. 🤎

When we opened Willowfields, our dream was to create somewhere that felt different — somewhere small, nurturing and homely, where children could feel safe to be themselves, get muddy, explore nature, make friends, build confidence and simply enjoy being little. 🌱🐛🌳

As we begin our Autumn Term, it really feels like that little dream is growing into something very special.

There will be new beginnings, new friendships, lots of exploring, plenty of laughter and so many little moments that we know we’ll treasure. 🍂

To all of our new families — welcome to Willowfields. 💚
To our returning families — welcome back.
And to our wonderful team — thank you for being part of it.

🚨 PLUMBER NEEDED! 🚨

Calling all parents, local businesses and plumbing superheroes! 🦸‍♂️🔧

We may have a little plumbing emergency at Willowfields… and we have a sneaking suspicion that a certain small object may have taken an unexpected journey down one of our children’s toilets! 😂🚽

Before we start blaming anyone, we’ll just say… we have absolutely no idea how it got there! 🤣

Can anyone recommend a reliable, reasonably priced plumber who could come to our rescue and investigate our little mystery blockage? 🔧

Recommendations would be very much appreciated! 🙏

Because apparently, running a nursery wasn’t quite exciting enough without adding plumbing detective to the job description! 😂🚽🕵️‍♀️

🍂🌿 Autumn is approaching at Willowfields! 🌿🍂

As the seasons change, we’re busy giving our outdoor area a little upgrade — and we’re very excited to share that work is also underway on our Forest School area within the grounds of the field! 🌳🍁

We have a lovely little hidden space tucked away that we’re going to transform into our very own “Secret Garden” 🌿✨ — a special place for the children to explore nature, get muddy, discover, investigate and enjoy the outdoors.

We aim to be outside as much as possible, whatever the season, so we would kindly ask that children bring a pair of wellies to leave at nursery, if possible. 🥾🌧️

There’s something so special about autumn at Willowfields — crunchy leaves, puddles, mud, sticks, conkers and lots of opportunities for outdoor learning and adventure! 🍂🤎

We can’t wait to show you our Secret Garden as it comes together! 🌳✨

We can’t wait to welcome our new September families to our Coffee Morning & Stay & Play, where you’ll get to meet all of our lovely Willowfields team and spend some time in our beautiful nursery .

For our current families, it’s a lovely opportunity to catch up with your child’s key person and hear all about the amazing progress they’ve made over the last few weeks. 🥰

💚 A little reminder for everyone’s safety 💚

Just a quick reminder when arriving and leaving Willowfields — please could everyone make sure they are using the car park and exit gate in the correct direction.

We have lots of little ones, parents and staff moving around the car park at drop-off and collection times, so following the correct route helps us keep everyone safe and avoid any near misses. 🥰

Please also take extra care to drive slowly and keep an eye out for children and families walking through the car park.

🌿❤️ Meet our lovely Rosa… 🇪🇸

Although many of our families will already know and love her, we wanted to take a moment to properly introduce Rosa and tell you just how special she is to us at Willowfields.

Rosa has been with us right from the very beginning, from the day we opened our doors, and she has become such a valued part of our little Willowfields family. 🥰

Rosa is a casual member of our team, but she is so much more than that to us. Whenever she walks through the door, she brings her warmth, kindness, fun and infectious personality with her — and the children absolutely adore her. ❤️

One of the things we’re especially excited about is Rosa sharing her Spanish with the children. 🇪🇸 She’ll be teaching them simple Spanish words, phrases, songs and little bits of the language through their everyday play and experiences.

We love the idea of our children growing up understanding that there are so many different languages and cultures in our wonderful world, and we know Rosa will make learning Spanish something they genuinely enjoy and look forward to. 🎶🌎

Rosa, thank you for being there from the start, for giving so much of yourself to our children and for bringing such a lovely energy into Willowfields. We really are so lucky to have you as part of our team. 🌿❤️

Hello everyone! 👋

I thought it was about time I introduced myself properly. I’m Cherie, the proud Owner, Manager, chief tea-maker, and general wearer of many hats here at Willowfields! ☕️😊

I hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and a Degree in Early Childhood Studies, and I have always been incredibly passionate about providing high-quality, affordable childcare for local families.

Opening Willowfields has been a dream come true, and I feel truly honoured and privileged to become part of our wonderful local community. It is a responsibility I never take lightly to be entrusted with the care, education and wellbeing of your children during such an important stage of their lives.

My promise to every family is that I will always do everything I can to provide a safe, nurturing, inclusive and inspiring environment where children can learn, grow and thrive. Every decision we make at Willowfields is made with the children and families we serve at the heart of it.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. Watching our nursery family grow has been an absolute privilege, and I can’t wait to continue this journey together with you all. 💚

From planning activities and supporting learning, to making the brews and occasionally hunting for missing socks, you’ll usually find me somewhere in the middle of the Willowfields chaos – and I wouldn’t have it any other way! 😊
