💚 Staff Wellbeing Week 💚

Our staff team have thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful Wellbeing Week, thoughtfully organised by our amazing Manager, Hollie, and Deputy Manager, Stef.

Each day brought a special treat for the team, providing opportunities to relax, feel appreciated, and take a little time for themselves. From small gestures to thoughtful surprises, it has been a lovely week focused on staff wellbeing and appreciation.

At The Little Den, we recognise how important wellbeing is and are committed to supporting our team.

🌿✨ A Walk to Our Baby Den ✨🌿

Our children enjoyed a lovely walk to visit our new Baby Den and explore the beautiful outdoor surroundings. 💚

The children loved spending time on the green grass, jumping in puddles, and discovering the wonderful flowers growing around the area.

As we explored together, the children were encouraged to use their senses, talk about what they could see, hear, and feel, and enjoy the natural world around them. These simple experiences provide wonderful opportunities for curiosity, communication, and learning through play.

The children were also very excited to see how our new Baby Den is developing and enjoyed looking at all the changes taking place. It has been lovely to see their curiosity and excitement as they watch our new environment begin to take shape. ✨

We had lots of smiles, laughter, and excitement throughout our adventure and are looking forward to many more opportunities to explore our beautiful surroundings together. 💚

Why Sustainability Matters for our Children🌱

During the month of June, we will be taking part in lots of activities, exploring provision and implementing even more environmentally friendly practices to help us to become eco warriors!

✨ We’re expanding! ✨

We are delighted to share some very exciting news…

We have added a beautiful new building to our Little Den portfolio, just 32 steps away from our existing thriving Newcastle nursery.

From 7th September 2026, we will have the opportunity to care for our youngest children in our Baby Den, while our older children continue their learning journey in our Big Den.

Our Newcastle nursery will be extending its Ofsted registration to enable us to provide this wonderful new provision.

Both nurseries have their very own private gardens.

Our new building also has extensive natural grounds, where over time we will be creating our very own Little Den Forest School. This will give all of our Little Den children across all of our settings the opportunity to play, explore and learn in a rich natural outdoor environment.

At The Little Den, we love celebrating the amazing dedication, care, and passion shown by our staff team every day. 💚

Each month, our Employee of the Month recognition gives children and families the opportunity to celebrate the staff members who make a positive difference through their kindness, support, and commitment to providing the very best experiences for our children.

Our voting station can be found at the nursery entrance, where staff photographs are displayed to help children share their thoughts and recognise those special people who help make their nursery days so wonderful. 🌟

We are incredibly proud of our team and love hearing about the positive impact they have on our children and families. ❤️
