An opportunity has become available for a full time childcare place for a child age 0-2yrs.
I provide a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment where every child is valued as an individual. My setting offers rich learning opportunities and invaluable experiences, supporting children to grow in confidence independence and curiosity.
I carefully follow each childs individual interests and next steps supporting their development and helping them to reach their full potential across all areas of learning.

Our little stars learn best from seeing and doing and because of this, for Remembrance Day we enjoyed a visit to RAF Cosford air museum. The children were completely mesmerised by the size of the different aeroplanes. We explained that people flew these planes a long time ago to help people, we also explained that the special red flowers that we see are called poppies and that we wear them to help us remember and say Thankyou to the people who helped us.
Back home we painted pictures of poppies again talking about the meaning of them in an aged appropriate way.

We continued with our Diwali celebrations and activities throughout the week at home.

Our little stars enjoyed celebrating Diwali with our friends. Diwali involves lights, colours and music. The children all enjoyed exploring the bright coloured scarfs and the sensory tubes and lights whilst also listening to traditional Diwali music. Some of the older children also made their own Diyas with a little help from the grown ups. They really enjoyed tasting and smelling the different foods that that are eaten during this festival. These experiences stimulate sensory exploration and creativity. The children all enjoyed exploring and socialising whilst learning that Diwali is a special celebration.

Although we didn’t post much during Autumn I’d like to share some of the lovely things that we got up to.
We had a lovely visit to caverswall creamery where we saw some baby calfs and goats which the children enjoyed saying hello to. They tried very hard to copy the different sounds that they made, We had a lovely picnic with our friends, and then enjoyed seeing the big tractor before going and choosing some delicous icecream as a treat to take home. At home we enjoyed playing with the farm and the animals continuing to practise our animal sounds we also read the that’s not my tractor story.

Our little stars had a lovely morning at Newcastle libraries singing and rhyme time, all the children joined in enthusiastically, some singing along to some of the words, others did some of the actions while our littlest star enjoyed banging and shaking musical instruments to the music. The children had lots of fun socialising in a much bigger group whilst also further developing memory, concentration and thinking skills.

The little stars absolutely loved their adventure on a real bus, from walking to the bus stop to getting on the the bus, it was an experience even our littlest star enjoyed, and one that some had never experienced before. We even put on our best singing voices and entertained the people waiting at the stop. The children loved looking out of the windows and chatting about what they could see. We talked about road safety and why we have to wait at traffic lights etc
It was a good way for the older children to learn a little more about the world around them!

Our little stars thoroughly enjoyed using their imagination as they had fun in the sun making ice creams using children’s spray foam. Lots of language was observed as they excitedly asked their friends what colour/ flavour ice cream they wanted. It was so lovely to watch their imaginations run away with them and listen to their laughter as they played beautifully together.
The children also enjoyed exploring a water tray with coloured pom-poms which also represented scoops of ice creams.
Thankyou to Lindsey’s little ones for another lovely funfilled day.

Our little stars had such a lovely day playing with friends at the local park, they had lots of fun on the equipment and also thoroughly enjoyed a water play activity making potions by adding flowers and petals along with a little milk and food colouring of their colour choice to make their potion, the potion was enhanced with bowls and and scoops of different sizes. The children used fine motor skills as they stirred the potion round and round using sticks that they had collected, they also enjoyed tipping and pouring , emptying and filling the containers being very careful not to spill it. Lots of language was observed as the children talked about and described what they were doing and making.
