π’ GCSE Results Day Information
We would like to share the arrangements for GCSE Results Day this year:
π
Thursday 20th August 2026
π Main Hall
β° 9:00am β 10:30am
Students can collect their results during this time. If you cannot attend Results Day, you have two options:
a) Authorise another person to collect your results on your behalf. They must bring a signed letter from you and valid photographic identification. Without both the letter and identification, your results cannot be released.
b) Provide a stamped, addressed envelope to either Mr Adams or Mrs Alcock. Your results will then be posted to you on Results Day.
We are incredibly proud of all our students and wish them the very best of luck as they receive their resultsβwe know how much hard work has gone into reaching this point π

What a moving and inspirational final week of term at Newcastle Academy!
We kicked things off on Saturday with our Walking Together for Lily event, bringing our community together for a truly special cause. π
On Wednesday, our amazing Student Leaders showed their creativity and teamwork by baking and running a brilliant Cake Sale β thank you to everyone who supported and donated! π§
Today, we finished the term in the brightest way possible with the 1st Newcastle Academy Colour Fun Run! Students arrived dressed for the occasion with glitter, face paint and plenty of enthusiasm. The atmosphere was full of laughter, energy and colour from start to finish. π
A highlight of the afternoon was seeing our Year Leaders and Teaching Staff take part in their own race β which definitely created the biggest colour explosion of the day! π
This week has reminded us just how important community, kindness and togetherness are. Following the sad loss of one of our students, we hope everyone takes this half term as an opportunity to spend precious time with family and friends and to look after one another. π

It is with deep sadness that we share the devastating news of the passing of Lily Petts, a much-loved Year 11 student within our school family.
Lily was a kind, eloquent, and truly bright young lady who brought warmth and positivity to our community every single day. She was highly regarded by both staff and students for her friendly nature and the quiet way she supported those around her.
She will always be remembered as a cherished member of our school family. Her kindness, her character, and the positive difference she made to others will not be forgotten. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing and teaching her.
Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathies are with Lily's family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. We really appreciate our wider community, who continue to show kindness and respect for the family's privacy as we support one another through this heartbreaking loss.

The rest of the packs will be heading out this week, so if youβre in Year 6, keep an eye out π β yours will be arriving soon! Weβre really looking forward to welcoming you all on our transition days and in September!
