Tonight some of our members got together, with members of staff from various cultural backgrounds, along with our local MP, to celebrate the start of Shabbat with a Friday Night dinner as part of the UJS - Union of Jewish Students initiative ‘bring an MP to FND’…thank you to our vice chancellor Keele University for allowing us to host the dinner in the clock tower and to the catering staff, a superb dinner!!! Absolutely AMAZING evening great company, amazing food, a great celebration of Jewish culture and community…. It’s been an incredible week for us, with the Purim event on Monday just gone and the Friday night dinner tonight…SHABBAT SHALOM!!! (Pictures of tonight’s menu, tonight’s Challah and Purim)

Tonight we started the celebration of Purim and had the absolute pleasure of an amazing event put on by Keele University campus life events team. Great food, great atmosphere, great company and a reading of the Purim story by our president of the keele JSOC.

It’s been a while since we’ve posted on here (2024!)….but we are still here at keele and have been building in the background…last Tuesday was Holocaust Memorial Day. We had two stands to commemorate the day; one incorporated onto our refreshers fayre and then in the afternoon we went over to Keele Chapel where we was joined by our Vice Chancellor of Keele University, Keele SU officer Corey Chavda and UJS - Union of Jewish Students sabbatical officer Eve. To light some candles in commemoration of Victims of the Holocaust. We also welcomed three new members to the society last week.
