Invoice fraud can create significant financial and operational disruption for schools, particularly when criminals exploit trusted supplier relationships or busy internal processes.

Our latest guide supports schools in recognising the warning signs and strengthening fraud awareness across teams.

The guide explores:
• How convincing invoices and small email changes can be used to mislead staff
• The risks linked to urgent payment requests and supplier impersonation
• Warning signs such as unusual wording, mismatched details and unexpected bank changes
• Practical steps including verification, invoice cross-checking, dual approval and prompt reporting

With clear, actionable advice, this resource helps schools build confidence and reduce the risk of costly payment fraud.

FREE SCHOOL MEALS FORM – PLEASE COMPLETE BY FRIDAY 12TH JULY - Important reminder to all our St Wulstan's families!

Your child brought home a Free School Meals eligibility form recently. We need ALL families to complete and return this by Friday 12th July – even if you don't think you're eligible.

Why does this matter?
✅ Free school meals continue beyond Year 2 for eligible children
✅ Funding for school trips and after-school clubs
✅ Additional support tailored to your child's needs
✅ Automatic checking means if your circumstances change, you're already registered

This is NOT the same as Universal Infant Free School Meals (Reception–Year 2). Completing this form could unlock valuable benefits for your family throughout primary school.

Need another form? They're available from the school office or your child's class teacher.

Thank you for your support – together we can ensure every eligible child receives the help they deserve! ❤️💙🥙⚽️🎼💙❤️

GUITAR AND VIOLIN GROUP PERFORMANCE: Well done to Miss West’s Guitar and Violin group, some of whom gave a short performance for Years 2 and 3 this afternoon. 🎸🎻
Despite the hot weather, they did brilliantly playing “Shotgun” by George Ezra, with a lovely bit of singing along too!
A great afternoon of music at St Wulstan’s — well done everyone! 💙❤️🎶👏🎸🎻💙❤️

YEAR 5 FUN AT ST JOHN FISHER!: Year 5 had a brilliant day at St. John Fisher last week, experiencing lessons in a fast-paced high school setting. It gave our pupils a real taste of what life at St John Fisher Catholic College is like and we returned to school excited for the future! We loved walking back to St Wulstan's, getting some much needed fresh air and exercise too! ❤️🩵🙏🖥️📝🧮🧪💙❤️
