We are pleased to present our updated poster and programme for our upcoming local QI meeting, focusing on improving surgical outcomes! This will be hosted on Microsoft Teams - Tuesday 29th October 18:00-20:00 so feel free to join and support our presenters. This will be a fantastic opportunity to gain insights into the latest QI initiatives, how they can be implemented into our daily practice and hopefully inspire some ideas for future projects of your own. 🚨🚨PORTFOLIO OPPORTUNITY🚨🚨
Looking to boost your portfolio ahead of application deadlines? Need to present a surgically themed audit or quality improvement project? West Midlands Foundation Trainee Surgical Society is hosting a local quality improvement meeting on Tuesday 29th October from 6-8pm on Microsoft Teams. Abstract submissions are NOW OPEN to submit your work. Join us for an evening of showcasing the excellent work performed by our local foundation doctors and to learn more about quality improvement opportunities.
The fine print: deadline for abstract submission is Sunday 13th October. Submissions must be for an audit or quality improvement project with a surgical theme. Please use the QR code to access the Microsoft form to submit work and find out more. Due to demand, first time presentations will be prioritised. FTSS is run with the support of local consultant surgeon advisors and well supported by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.
Members of FTSS are also entitled to free affiliate membership of RCSEd.

This is a basic skills course titled Battle of the Surgeons under the aegis of FTSS RCSEd. It’s going to be taught by predominantly consultants/ senior regs and end with a simple competition providing opportunities for prizes.
Ironclad certificates will be given for your upcoming applications.
It’s on a Saturday - the 2nd of July at the Clinical Eduction Centre, UHNM Stoke on Trent (in our own backyard) Details are on the website below.
