To everyone opening GCSE results today — breathe.
These numbers do not define your intelligence, your future, or your worth. They are a snapshot of one moment, not the full story of who you are becoming.

You showed up. You tried. You kept going even when it felt heavy.
That resilience is worth more than any grade on a page.

Whether you’re celebrating, surprised, relieved, or disappointed — every feeling is valid.
But remember this: your path is still wide open. College, apprenticeships, resits, new subjects, fresh starts — you have options, and you have time.

Be proud of yourself today.
You made it through one of the toughest exam seasons in years.
And whatever your results say, your future is still yours to shape.

It is so important children have access to reading. Being able to lose yourself in a book helps to develop social connections, communication skills, Sparks curiosity and visualisation, inspiring storytelling and problem‑solving, emotional intelligence and aids cognitive development.
