🏔️ GCSE PE ROCK CLIMBING COURSE – OCTOBER

We are excited to offer our GCSE PE learners a two-day rock climbing course at The Climbing Hut, Shrewsbury.

This is a fantastic opportunity for learners to develop their climbing skills and work towards their GCSE PE practical assessment.

⭐ Course includes:
• Two days of expert climbing instruction
• All climbing equipment
• Development of practical skills and confidence
• GCSE PE practical assessment opportunity
• Travel expenses

📅 To secure a place:
Please pay the first instalment via Arbor by Friday 18th September 2026.

The remaining monies are due by Friday 2nd October 2026.

⚠️ Only 33 places are available, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

We strongly encourage GCSE PE learners to take advantage of this exciting opportunity to develop a new skill and support their practical assessment.

Please make the first payment on Arbor by 18th September to secure your child’s place.

The eligibility criteria for Free School Meals has expanded, meaning more children and families may now qualify from September 2026. If you think you may be eligible, we encourage you to apply.

📄 Application forms have been emailed to parents/carers or sent home with your child via their form teacher.

✅ Please complete and return your application form as soon as possible to ensure your child can be considered for Free School Meals from September 2026.

If you have any questions or need another copy of the application form, please contact the finance office.

🎓 CELEBRATING OUR YEAR 13 LEARNERS! 🎓

We are incredibly proud of our Year 13 learners and the exciting next steps they are taking! 🌟

👏 82% of our students are progressing to university, with many securing places at prestigious Russell Group universities which is a fantastic achievement and a true testament to their hard work, determination and ambition.

Our learners are heading off to study a fantastic range of subjects, including:

🌻 The Eco Stewardship Group has had fantastic success growing sunflowers this year!

Our beautiful blooms have not only brightened our school grounds but have also attracted plenty of bees and been enjoyed by visitors to our school.

Congratulations to the winners (pictured), whose sunflowers were the first to flower.

A fitting reminder of last year's tagline: "Bloom Where You Are Planted." 🌻🐝💛
