We have received some beautiful cards, thoughtful gifts and lovely words from our parents, children and families as some of our children prepare for their exciting next chapter at school.

We feel so lucky to welcome children into our nursery and be part of their journey, watching them grow, learn and blossom.

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful families for your continued kindness, support and trust in us. It truly means so much to our whole team.

🩷 💚 ❤️ 🤎 💙 A little appreciation post for our Oliver Bonas Little Den bags!
I bought these for our girls across our nurseries as a little thank you for working so hard over the summer term heatwaves an all!
I absolutely LOVE seeing them out and about already!
At the park, grabbing a coffee, soft play, swimming, days out… they’re coming in very handy for the team!
It was only a bag, but it was my little way of saying I see you, I appreciate you and thank you for everything you do for our children, our families each day at nursery.
And I have to say… I think they look pretty to fabulous too!
Enjoy them girls — you deserve a little treat ###

🌈🎶 Exploring Colour, Rhythm & Rhyme with Ebony!

Our little Baby and Bonny Bears had a wonderful morning with Ebony, exploring a world full of colour, music and movement! 🌈🎵

We clapped our little hands, stamped our feet and explored different musical instruments as we sang along to some of our favourite nursery rhymes. There were lots of smiles and giggles as we played peekaboo with colourful sensory scarves and reached out to pop the bubbles!

Through music, rhythm and rhyme, our children were busy developing their communication, social skills, movement and early colour recognition, all while building those lovely relationships with their friends and familiar adults.

Such a beautiful morning of singing, exploring, moving and learning through play! 🌈🎶✨

🎪🎓 THE GREATEST GRADUATION 🎓🎪

What a truly magical time we had celebrating The Greatest Graduation with our wonderful Bears!

Yesterday was filled with so many emotions, pride, excitement, happiness and, of course, a little sadness as we celebrated the end of an incredible nursery journey for such a special group of children.

Many of our Bears have been part of The Little Den family since they were tiny, beginning their adventures in Baby Bears and Bouncing Bears before growing into the confident, caring, funny and curious little children we see today.

Throughout their journey, we have watched them learn, grow, build beautiful friendships, discover their own personalities and achieve so much. We’ve sung at the top of our voices, danced like nobody was watching, created masterpieces, transformed cardboard boxes into adventures and discovered just how sporty and determined our Bears can be!

But above everything they have learnt, what makes us proudest is who they have become, the kindness they show, the friendships they have made and the way they care for one another. ❤️

To our wonderful families, thank you for trusting us with your most precious little people and allowing us to be such a special part of their story. It has been an absolute privilege that we will never take for granted.

And to our beautiful Bears…

✨ Be brave enough to try.
❤️ Be kind enough to care.
🌎 Be curious enough to explore.
🌟 Be confident enough to believe in yourselves.

Keep asking questions, keep singing and dancing, keep creating, keep aiming high and, most importantly, always be yourselves.

Although it’s time to say goodbye, a little piece of each of you will always remain at The Little Den. The laughter, friendships and memories we’ve shared will hold such a special place in our hearts. 🐻❤️

Today, we didn’t simply celebrate finishing nursery…

We celebrated the amazing little people you have become. 🥹✨

Congratulations to our incredible Bears! We are SO proud of you, we will miss you more than you know, and we cannot wait to see where your next adventure takes you.

🚗✨ A Vehicle Adventure ✨🚗

Our children have been busy exploring a wonderful large-scale vehicle adventure!

Using a mixture of loose parts and natural treasures including seashells, pinecones, wooden blocks, curtain rings and different-sized wheels, the children enjoyed pushing, building, balancing, stacking, posting, rolling and creating!

This open-ended play encouraged lots of curiosity, imagination and problem-solving, while also bringing our story“That’s Not My Car”, to life! 📖

🌱🌼 Little Gardeners at Basford 🌼🌱

Here at The Little Den Basford, we love spending time in our garden, where every season brings a new opportunity to learn and grow!

Our little gardeners enjoy planting flowers, fruits, and vegetables, caring for them each day, and watching them grow. Through gardening, the children develop patience, responsibility, and a real appreciation for the natural world.

From digging and watering to harvesting our homegrown produce, every moment is a hands-on learning experience that supports curiosity, teamwork, and a love for the outdoors.
