The forecast for this week is basically hot and hotter! With this in mind, if the children are more comfortable in PE kits, they are welcome to wear them for the rest of this week. If they are happy in their summer dresses or shorts / polo shirts, that's fine too - basically whichever they are more comfortable in. Please do stick to either uniform or PE kit though please.

In addition, just another reminder about the children having sunhats, suncream and water bottles with them every day please!

One of our wonderful Westlands children has had a very exciting weeked! Lily-May won some fantastic awards in football for Newcastle Town, for her commitment, skill and character.

Well done Lily-May, we're so proud of you and looking forward to watching your footballing career progress!!

We are so very proud of each and every one of our fabulous year 6 superstars. Well done to all of you for being hardworking and never giving up this week - displaying two of our THINKERS values beautifully.

We are very very proud of our ex-pupil Jack, who has climbed Snowdon with his friends to raise money for type 1 diabetes research. Jack's motivation was his little sister Ruby, who is now in Year 1 with us and was diagnosed with T1 diabetes as a toddler.

Time 4 Sport UK, who provided our swimming pool for the last two weeks of term, are running an Easter camp at Seabridge Primary for the next two weeks, with the pool onsite.

Today we have opened The Reading Realm - our wonderful new library space where the children can spend time discovering new stories! The lovely Melanie Seiver shared her book Polly Pin, and opened our library for us, our very own Mrs Brooks read her brilliant book for us too, plus we had lovely messages from Alex Foulkes, another local author, and the one and only Nick Sharratt!

Our amazingly talented Year 4 pupil Izzy revealed her beautiful sign, and was the first person to see inside the library!

Our brilliant new reading ambassadors are also pictured - they will help out with running the library.

We are looking for a part-time teacher to join our lovely team starting in September!
