Our topic this term is Space. We’ve been having lots of fun making moon rocks and recreating craters on the moon and playing in the space rocket in our role play corner. We even made fruit rockets for snack and cheesy stars.
This term the children are learning about the importance of recycling and creating lots of artwork from recycled materials.

Our topic this term is Nursery Rhymes and Fairy Tales. We have had a busy week recreating Hickory Dickory Dock, The Owl & the P***y Cat and the 3 Little Pigs.

This terms topic we are learning about where our food comes from. We made our own marmalade and learnt that our oranges came all the way from Spain to our supermarkets.

We raised £73.50 for Oxfam from our Leavers' Market. This term the children have been learning about money during topic time.

Happy Father's Day!
We made our own elderflower cordial with elderflowers we picked from the playing field.
The nursery school had our own 'Royal Wedding' service at Brightwalton church today. All the children made their top hats and fancy hats for the wedding. The bride and groom left the church in a tricycle, peddled by the best man.

Happy Mother's Day
Due to the weather conditions and tomorrow's forecast, we have decided to close the nursery tomorrow (Friday 2nd March) in line with all the local schools.

We read the story No Roses For Harry about the dog who didn't like his new jumper and tried to lose it. We made our own Harry and decorated jumpers for him to wear.
We made marmalade and ate marmalade sandwiches for snack, just like Paddington Bear!
